...for my Scottish dad to wear a kilt to my beach wedding in Mexico? lol
I told him to leave it at home and he can wear it to my AHR if he wants but not to my wedding...I know it's part of our culture and tradition but I just think it would look odd :P

I really hope he wasn't offended!! hehe

I think that it would be nice at your AHR but if he wants to at your wedding then I guess its whatever you feel comfortable with.

Personally, I always like seeing Kilts. Got a little of the Scot in me too.

But, it is your wedding, if you can get him to wear what you want him to wear without a family war, go for it.

i say leave it up to him. i personally wouldn't want to be a wool (aren't they usually wool!?) in Mexico - but heck, if he wants to ...

i am primarily Scottish as well - but don't think anyone plans on the kilt!

IMO, I could care less what our guests wear.. Well as long as they don't look like a bum..

Melissa, I vote yes. We poor Scots have so few times we can wear our plaids.
Just tell all of the girls there will be no peeking under the kilt!
You could even wear a little plaid "somethin-somethin" yourself...
            Have a great day.

For the dance, at the reception, Maggie wore her crinoline and a lovely lace top. Looks like Tadd likes it!

I think you should let him wear it. I really don't see it being an issue at all. Its totally up to you, but if you are not totally opposed to it, then just let him.
