I am of the same mind. When I started, I was adamant that I would not use shells, starfish, or palms in my wedding or materials. Once here I saw how cute they can be and thought about it. However, it really isn't me so I am focusing on color however I am having an issue with a monogram and invites due to it as they all seem to have one of the 3. Go with what you like and the colors you enjoy, the scene will give it the beachy feel.

Yay, I'm not alone! I'm having a damask themed wedding in Cancun. Mine is mostly black and white with accents of pink and red. Here's my bridesmaid dresses...they're not exactly damask, but they tie in with all of the other damask things we're doing

Yay! I'm so happy there is another person thinking along the same lines! Have you done your invitations or STDs yet?

I LOVE damask!

We used a flourish on a few of our wedding projects.

I love the flourish! I found a couple monograms online that I'm loving but I'm having a real hard time commiting! It's so hard to make up my mind! But check these out...

They aren't quite damask but I like the thought of doing a more floral pattern. May seem a bit more tropical? Only thing is I would like to repeat that pattern elsewhere without having to pay someone to keep designing things when i can do it myself! Does anyone know where I can get patterns like that to play with?

Where did you find this flourish? When I try to do a search for fonts, I find...fonts...not motifs. if I search Motif's, I find nothing? Thanks

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
