You should use whatever design you like. Your wedding should reflect your taste and not what you think your wedding should look like. I think the colors you mentioned sound very pretty. Very calming and soothing. I love it. That's the great thing about DW's you can make them however you like.

LOL, weddings are becoming less and less traditional. I think you have more options with a destination wedding. I was more focused on the color than the theme. Since, the ceremony was in tropical garden. I played on the different shades of green in the background. It's your day. What ever you choose, make sure you (lol and the hubby to be) are happy with the decision. You don't want any regrets.

Good Luck,

J

I was thinking of doing either black or brown with cream int he pattern with accents of pink and green. I need a lot of opinions on this one!
Hi Ashley,

I am moving this thread to from the Jamaica sub-forum to the appropriate sub-forum. Please be more mindful of where you start threads as the Mods are working hard to keep the forum clean and organized.

Thanks,
Alyssa

I am with everyone else on here. Do what you want. :) I love the colors also, they sound perfect for what you want.

I didn't really want a beach theme either. We are going to use travel as our main theme and use the compass rose. We are trying for the classic Indiana Jones old world/jungle look mixed with a bit of 1930/1940's Hollywood elegance.

Maybe you could do the Hollywood elegance/travel mix like we are. Carla wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
