Dreams Huatulco Resort & Spa: Plan Your Wedding

The packages are listed here with the prices. The free one doesn't include a meal, or at least it doesn't list it. The one up from the free package is $2060 USD which is the Dreams of Love package.

I know it includes a lot of things, but some of them like : # Bride's hairstyling for ceremony

# Bride's hairstyling for ceremony

# Make-up application for bride

# 15% discount on all Spa Treatments (Products not included)

# 36 Full color photos and wedding album

I don't think I'd even use. We have a photographer friend coming, and I'm doing my own makeup. We won't be using the spa, either.

I actually think Dreams has one of the best wedding packages out there to be honest WE did the ultimate package (like $2700) and also didnt use any of those things you mentioned above. If you look at the pricing for the meal alone it starts to make sense. Plus it includes other things like centerpeices, bouquets, boutenniers, chair covers.. things that you dont realize add up. THey actually include alot and go above and beyond with the pkgs. I think the gold menu is $65/pp so if you have 20 people, that right there is $1300.. cheaper if you go with the silver menu. If you can price out everything you will need and then compare. I know most brides find that all the little costs add up to be alot more than the pkgs.

Hey Jen, Fabian passed away last year around October. I am not sure who does photos around there now? You might want to look into bringing your own photographer, thats what I ended up doing. Good Luck. Oh and my sisters gf got married at one of the villas and it was AMAZING.

Well I've been stalking this site for almost a year now and we have finally decided that we will be getting married in June 2011.  Location is still up in the air but Dreams Huatulco is at the top of the list, followed by Dream La Romana Dominica Republic.  Costa Rica was on the list but it is rainy season and my best friend was freaking out about the idea of going there.  ( You mean I'll have to get shoots)  Oh well.  It was much easier to get married there though no blood test or anything.

The only issue that I'm having is actually getting home from here.  The flights are limited and at the moment the only flights I can find would require an over night stay in Houston.  Ugh!  I don't think my guest would be very happy with that idea.  I guess this will be something for the TA to work out.  Although this would make it a special place since it isn't easy to get there.  I want a place that people wouldn't normally go to and I love the idea of a hidden jewel.  That's why my other choice was La Romana, but in the year I've been stalking, brides have found it.

I just wanted to see if there are any recent brides or brides to be out there.  I'd love to know how your planning is going.  I don't think, I'm gonna be a big DIY bride, that's why I want a DW show up plan in an afternoon and be done.

Hi Remdog,

I've actually just been looking at flights into Huatulco because I have some clients travelling from the U.S that are headed there. There's a direct flight into Mexico City from Detroit (hope that's close for you?) and then you fly AEROMAR from Mexico City direct into Huatulco. No overnight's required. Aeromar is bookable online on their website only as far as I know, so it might've not been coming up in your searches. Try that! :)

Thank you Becky we have actually decided to get married in Costa Rica since it was going to be to difficult to get there.  Ok and my FI really liked the idea of going to Costa Rica since neither of us has been there.  Thank you for your help and at some point I will get to Huatulco just not for our wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
