Dreams Huatulco are there anymore brides?

I'm a Dreams Huatulco bride too!!!!!!

Hi Nadine!!!

We are getting married January 19, 2009!!! Can't wait!

So far, there is not much updated news. The packages are all available, but they do not have a WC yet...I expect this will change soon though!

They sent me a list of questions about stuff I wanted for the wedding...most of the questions I couldn't answer yet though. I have no worries about the renos! The resort was great before, so I'm sure it's going to be amazing after!!! And I have no reason to think that they won't be ready - they have to, this is their business, right?

Sorry I took so long to get back to you. We are actually using a friend of ours. He isn't a professional, but does really great work. I'm a little nervous about this decision, but it will save a lot of money in the long run!!!

Wow, at least you got something from them. My Travel agent is having a real hard time getting a hold of anyone. She has now left it with the tour company with hopes that they can contact someone. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Have you still not received any info from your TA? Are your guests all booked in? We had 60 people put down deposits before our deadline on August 8th (jsut to hold the rate we got).. pretty exciting! I am excited there area couple of you getting married there before me so i can see all the pics and here all the info! So much fun!

I'm so excited there are some other brides getting married at Dreams as well. We live in the south as well, and building a house as we speak (YEAH) hopefully done in January...

I still haven't gotten any info from my TA! Have you? What have you received? Has the wedding coordinator gotten a hold of you? We have 30 booked so far, they have until Nov.1 to book. We are guessing there will be about 42 in total. 60 guests is amazing...How are the plans going?

really? how come you have so long? We only had 15 days to put down a deposit to hold a room/rate! Which carrier are you going with, Signature? Thats so great they have so long to put down, cause my guests were like 'august 8th, seriously?' becuase our wedding isnt until next new years.

 

I have not gotten any new information yet. I know Jenluvsmike was sent a package of some sort where she had to answer questions etc, but not sure what else. She might be the better one to ask as her wedding is the first of our three. As soon as i hear anything I will let you know, and vice verca!

I will let you know for sure if I hear anything. So, frustrating!!!

We had about 5 months to get our deposits in. I'm not sure why we had so long. A few resorts that I had looked at, and got prices back from said we would only have a month...which wasn't adequate. We wanted to send out our save the dates and give people a couple months to think about going. Maybe you only had a short window since it is over New Years, and it fill up quickly...

Anyone heard any new news on the Dreams Huatulco situation I know they were supposed to be open for business in November, but now have pushed that back to the first of December. Everyone is reassuring me that things will be ok by the time January rolls around. I sure hope so!

I'll let you all know if I hear anything before you!

I'm hoping to go down in December just to check things out and make some final arrangements, etc. So, if that all works out for me, I will take lots of pics for you!!!
