I feel productive

Ok...so it seems that FI and I have worked through our issues, for the time being at least :) There's a little more that went on after my thread about it, but we were honest with each other and we seem to have moved on. :)

With 6 months left I feel like it's "crunch" time :) We've alredy been engaged a year and a half LOL

This past weekend I went and ordered our invitations (we decided on them in Feb) and confirmed the ring FI wants. He also brought up the issue of what the guys are going to wear and I think we figured it out :) I also booked our airfair for the wedding.

Yesterday was my birthday :) We had planned to go to the beach, but it was crummy here in the morning. He asked what I wanted to do so I asked him if he'd really do ANYTHING I wanted LOL he said yes...so we went into Manhattan and went back to the jewler where he got my e-ring...well, they weren't in so we wandered around and spoke to a couple of different jewlers. We found one that we really liked and he does custome work and had some suggestions about a wedding band to fit my e-ring. And we liked his prices :) I am goign to go back in a week or two and get the ball rolling on that one.

Afterwards we wandered around China Town and Little Italy, had coffee and Gellato and then back to China Town. I can't tell you how many of those shops we went into, but I finally found the perfect Pashima's for my BM's. Their dresses are aqua and light ivory...so the pashima's are solid ivory but have a circular design on them.

I just emailed a company about AB Swarovski starfish pendents that I am going to use to make the BM's necklaces and earings and I ordered my tote bags from www.cheaptotes.com...FYI - the natural canvas is on sale for $.99 and cupon code "cheaptotes" saves you 10% I think ($.01 per bag).

Don't worry ladies, I'm taking pictures of everything and posting them here and there (I already posted my invitations). I plan to do a full and complete and LONG planning thread!!!!!

Hey Dez!

I bought a swarovski starfish pendant off of ebay before my wedding last year, you might want to check there to compare prices too, I'm not sure how much they are from the company you contacted.

Good luck!

I actually did look on ebay but I get confused/overwhelmed there sometimes :)

I got them for $9.16 each. I bought them in "bulk" meaning I needed more than 6. But they had them in a group of 6 for 54.95 and individually for $10.50...I emailed asking if I got 8, would I have to pay the $10.50 for the 2 extra...she said she'd adjust it for me :)

I'm BIG on customer serview and I literally emailed them at around 6:30 this morning and was emailed back at 8:30 (probably as soon as she got in).

Once I get them in, I'll write a review of them, so far, this company is getting an A+ from me :)

My BM gifts are almost done!! Whoo hooO!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
