Bridesmaid dress shopping tonight I need your advice please!

Recommended Posts

Ok, so originally there was going to be 3 BM, but now there will only be 2. I was going to do 3 bright different colors for their dresses. Now, with only 2 girls, do you think I should order the same color dress (either a bright watermelon color, or cornflower blue) OR should they be different colors still? Here's the dress: David's Bridal - Bridesmaid F12899 Sleeveless chiffon short dress with satin beaded straps. Thank you ladies!

Cute dress! I would probably go for the same color or complementary colors (turquoise and aqua or fushia and orange, etc) I think there might be too much contrast with two different colors. If that is the case, why not have the BMs pick their own color?

Will the guys all be dressed alike? If so, I think they need to match.

If it's the same dress, I think I would do the same color. I'm not a big matchy person and I think the BM dresses that are all different yet the same color are cool. But with the same dress, I think I'm leaning to same color- especially since there are just two.

I dunno- whatever you decide though. Ultimately it's your vision. :)

Actually, part two of this whole thing is this: I read the reviews on the dress and a lot of people said that if you don't have big boobs then the straps fall down. The girls are going to try them on tonight and who knows, we may change dresses completely. We'll see how it goes tonight. Thanks everyone for your input!!!!!

LOL it was the opposite for me. My BM has huge boobs and she was hanging out of it. And she is not big at all but it made her look like she had no shape. It is such a cute dress though. That was one of the dresses I had picked out!!

Very cute dress! As the others said, I would go with same color dresses. An idea for you if you want both colors on the girls would be to incorporate jewlery or even shoes in the color not used for the dress. I do know of a couple in which the girls all had the same style dress but different colors and it looked great, but there were quite a few more BM's...rainbow styled I believe.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
