Thank you, JenniferM!  I made the labels myself...I bought the chapsticks at the Dollar Tree.

What type of labels did you use and do you know if many of your guests used the chapstick? This is something I would really love to put in our kit and they're budget friendly. woot2.gif

Hi all! I am really loving all these post. I am getting married at RPRM on Thanksgiving. I just started working with our planner and I am so confused. I feel like they are trying to Nickel and dime me. So here is the scoop. We have about 35 people. We wanted to do a semi private dinner/reception with a DJ. Our planner told me that if we wanted a DJ that we would have to book the private reception, pay $44 per person, $15 for open bar, and $1250 for the DJ. Is there anyway to have a semi private reception and then have the DJ? I saw that someone on here was able to get the DJ cheaper without the lights. Im trying to keep the cost down but also have a celebration Just a side note, we are booked for the not so free wedding, Thanks

Just started working with our planner for our thanksgiving wedding. Question, I was told tonight that if I wanted a DJ I would have to have a private reception. We were hoping to save $ and have a semi private with a DJ after. Anyone have any options or ideas I could do? I am so confused and stressing out on my poor fiancée I want to make this a fantastic celebration, but the $44 per person for a private reception is a little much when you are paying for the free wedding and all the extras. Thanks

Yes, my guests used the chapstick & loved the idea of it!

I used Avery #18863 - 2" x 4" Clear Shipping Labels.

You are able to get 2 chapstick labels on 1 sticker.  You will have to cut these though.

I then purchased shrink wrap clear bands on ebay.  I got 100 for $6.00 with S&H.  I did not want the ink to smudge on the label.  Especially if using them on the beach or by the pool with wet/suntan lotion hands!!

Here is the template I used.

  • 2 weeks later...

We are getting married this Thanksgiving at RPRM, and plan to have a semi-private dinner. I am curious if anyone decorated the tables for dinner? We already have survival kits, koozies, and maracas that I am bringing on the plane for the wedding. I was not sure if I should decorate the tables or just leave them. Anyone have ideas?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
