The bulbs are very expensive if you have a lot of guest coming. I plan to get the seeds since I have about 60 guest. I'm going to order them on ebay because most nurseries will not deliver them until April - June. I have order plants in the past on ebay and have had no problems. When I get the a sellers information I will post it here.

I was originally going to do these starfish bottle openers as my favors, (ummm, I already bought a box of 100 months ago)....now I kind of wish I waited....(UGH!)

Now I think I may just add them to my OOT bags (2 per bag) and do the amol maracas as my favor instead,,,,still unsure...I really love the maraca poem & the idea of the guests shaking these to see us kiss!!!  I am sure it's something they never heard of before.  I am thinking of special ordering them in my colors of blue, green and pink (not shown).  Having bottle openers and maracas on the table would be just TOO MUCH & TOO BUSY!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you! The starfish bottle openers are beautiful. I'd do those over the maracas because when they go to Mexico they will see the same maracas everywhere and I mean EVERYWHERE! They are very popular at the gift shops.

Hi Ladies! I just booked my wedding at the RIU Palace Riviera Maya for June 28, 2013. I am soo confused by the cocktail hour and reception details. I said I wanted the "Caprice" package because that is the best one I saw on the website, but I do not see anything about cocktail hours and more private reception options. Did you all just book it through the hotel wedding planner? Can I still get those for my wedding? Help!- Tara

Jess I am probably going with the photographer they have on site. Adventure photos, i've seen some of their photos and they are really nice. I would like to go with something else, but they were just way out of my price range!

Does anyone have a list of things they can or provide? I would love to see photos of things like cakes, flowers, ect.

Hi Tara,

Congrats on booking your wedding!!!   Welcome to the Forum!  cheers.gif  My wedding is scheduled at RPRM for April 2, 2013.  Nearly 6 months away!  Time flies!!!

You should be able to discuss cocktail hour & reception options with the Riu's Wedding Planner.  He name is Nancy Hernandez Gonzalez.  Her email address is mice.plc@riu.com  They normally do not reach out to you with planning detais until 2-3 months prior to your wedding date, although I am sure if you sent her an email with some questions, she would get back to you within a few days.  She is pretty helpful.

Good Luck & Happy Planning!

Hi Girls!  Hope all is well in your worlds & wedding planning is moving along nicely!!!

I am using Adventure Photos as well.  Jess, it was me who sent you the price list.  They have a Facebook Page & also sent me some links of their work.  Here is their FB page link:  https://www.facebook.com/adventurephotos

Here is their price list.

Here are some links for Adventure Photos:

Their website:  http://adventurephotosmx.com/

RPRM Galley of Photos:  http://riupalacerivieramaya.adventurephotos.com.mx/

Their Trash the Dress Sample:  http://michelleadilttd.riupla.adventurephotos.com.mx/#/slideshow-1/

I was going to hire an outside photographer, but you are right, very pricey and a bride here on the forum helped me make the decision - did I want beautiful photos or pieces of art?  Some of these outside vendors are amazing & create such beautiful pieces of art on film!!!!  Hence more $$$, too.  I opted for beautiful photos.

I also have a flower brochure Nancy sent me as far as some arrangements they have available.  I attached here.

Hope this helps!  xoxo

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
