HAPPY FRIDAY RPRM Brides!

I just wanted to share my koozies that arrived yesterday.  I order 100 (they actually shipped me 101) & also gave me the Bride & Groom one free.

With shipping I paid $91.00, although their standard shipping is 2 day.  I think they were worth the $$.  The koozies were .76 a piece.  I figure I will hand out at least 60.  No worries about having the extra 40 since we figure we can give extras to family & close friends.  Plus, we are on our boat in the summer & they are always good to have there, plus we lose them from time to time.

You can design your own - send them a picture, etc.  They also have many templates to choose from.

I ordered from http://www.totallykoozies.com/

I haven't been here in months but I am so happy to see that there is so much activity again! We are getting married on 11/17 of this year; only about five months away!

We are currently trying to decide if we are going to bring in our own DJ and where to do a cocktail hour. Anyone have recommendations? We are probably going to have 35-40 guests and are planning on doing the private reception at Chilis.

Also, we are in the midst of trying to decide what to do for our OOT bags. Are you guys doing one bag per room or one for each person? Also, does anyone have any recommendations for plastic cups? We were told it would be a good idea to include a really large plastic cup with our OOT bags as the ones used at the resort are smaller. We are probably going to do beer koozies as well!

I think they will be fine, If i were you i would just update them everytime i get one more confirmation, and let the WC know there may still be more to come... that way your just keeping them in the loop  :-) x

Hi Jen!  Welcome back - I remember seeing you on the boards a few months back!  Your wedding is right around the corner!  You must be so exited.  Quick question - did you book a photographer?  May I ask who?  This is my next decision to make.

I, too and hoping to do a private reception at Chili's with the resort DJ.  Although I am concerned with the mixed information I've read about what time your private reception can begin.  7 or 8:45?  It would seem ridiculous to have a DJ for 2 hours...since they make you shut down music at 11 as a courtesy to other resort guests.  Have you received any information in this at all?

My FI and I are doing OOT bags.  1 per couple or 1 per person if friends are sharing a room.  As far as plastic cups - I bought acrylic tumblers at the Christmas Tree Shop this spring.  This should be interesting transporting these - I may have to break seals and remove straws so nothing breaks.

Emily - I am sure this will be fine.  When you firm up details with them 2 months prior to your wedding date - that is when you have to supply a full list of your guests so they can make sure that 80% of them are booked at the resort.  But Nix is right!  Doesn't hurt to keep them in the loop.  More information is always better than less!

Thanks for your help guys, I truly appreciate it. I'm just so stressed, and I know I don't need to be, but life's just making it that way! ha. Also I was wondering, does anyone know how many weddings they do a day? If so, how do they accomadate everyone's receptions?? Curious!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
