Ael first contacted me right at 2 months- but like I said she has been super slow lately- and according to my last email- it wasnt even from her. Do you have any questions you need me to ask her at our meeting next Thurs?

I agree that I hadn't heard anything about the $2 to deliver to rooms. I am wondering too, if they would charge to give them to people at the front desk- I was under the impression that we could (and maybe leave a tip?) I think that's my only question right now.....

Thanks Paige for easing my mind about Ael a little bit. I'm sure this is their busiest season! And wow- your day is coming so fast! Did you ever decide how you were going to handle the 'outside photographer' thing?

Wow lots to catch up on, feel like I have been MIA because of finals and now during my week off of school I am trying to put in the hours at work.

Thanks for the info about the 2$ to deliver to rooms. I have been wondering how we were going to hand everything out because unfortuanately we have guests arriving on a bunch of different days. I am thinking it will be easiest to get everyone's itinerary's (since we will be the first there) and make sure to make a point to wait in the lobby and greet them on arrival. Although they will have lots of stuff, I think this will be the best time for us to give it to them.

Speaking of OOT bags, we ordered travel mugs yesterday! Excited to get them ordered, but very nervous on how they will turn out. Discount mugs is kind of a pain to work with, but i know lots of girls have used them and turned out happy. I will post pics in a month when I get them, hopefully I won't be ranting about how bad they turned out :/

Congrats Linds, i missed your day! But I am sure it was wonderful :)

Paige- You are soo close, what day are you leaving again?? Are you pretty much ready, or lots of little stuff to do before?

Paige & Jannae - Ael had informed about the $2 and it was in one of the attachments with the pricing too. what I am doing is telling the front desk to tell our guests to come see us once they check in and we will hand out bags as we see them.

Someone called Pam responded to me also, I asked her where Ael was since I had been communicating with Ael.

Ladies I had requested an earlier dinner but no luck there even if I pay a lot extra, 8:45 pm is the time! oh well.

Btw do any of you know? if the resort has parking and if there is a charge to park. we are renting a car.

Also we are planning to do a thank you dinner at Carboncicos in down town Playa. One of the girls here recommended it, we are still waiting to hear about the pricing from the restauarant and if we can get their rooftop.

Paige - How long will u be at the resort? I will be there June 1st, will you be there then too?

Samira-Can I ask why you are renting a car? I don't believe they have anywhere for you to park. Also, Playa Del Carmen is a gated community. You have to leave your ID at the gate when you enter and you don't get it back until you leave (I believe this is how it worked for transportation/taxis). I was there last year and you really don't need a car for anything?

JNagan - we are having a private dinner at Bota Fogo. We have about 55 guests! the cost for that plus DJ is like $1700 (just incase if you wanted to know).

Dana - The hotel does have parking, I called today to verify! Main reason for renting car is because we want to visit some of the local stores/walmart etc for additional items for our oot bags. last time we were in cancun we rented a car too and had no probs, we drove to quite a few places just to see stuff :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
