Frenchie and Chloe, thanks for all your tips!

I don't want the private reception but I do want to have a first dance. Maybe I'll just do it to the live music?

Did anyone see the Caribbean Trio play? I thought about having them during the ceremony. Would the cocktail hour be too quiet without live music?

Is the Mariachi cheesy? I think I'd like it but I'm afraid it might seem a bit cheesy??

Everything I've ordered has been received, so now I'm just putting things together (hangover kits, keycard holders, etc). Lots of fun things left to do! A bit concerned about how I'm getting the bulky mugs and everything down to RPRM, ahh!

Time goes by so fast, don't let anyone tell you otherwise wink.gif hehe

Chloe- Welcome back and CONGRATULATIONS! I can't wait to look at all of your pictures (had a hard time opening them at work, but definitely going to look when I get home)! By the sounds of it, all of them look great! Thank you for your all of your feedback on everything too!

Frenchie- Thank you so much for all of your tips! I was considering getting the harpist for my ceremony, but wasn't sure, so you definitely helped confirm that I should do it!

KimmyG- I've actually been thinking about the same thing for the cocktail hour...I wasn't planning on having any type of live music since we're planning on getting the harpist for the ceremony and having a private reception with DJ. I just hope that it's not TOO quiet without anything.

Virginia- Yes, can you please forward that email to me? I still haven't straightened things out with Ael...and I'm leaving on Saturday, so I guess I will just have to see what happens during our meeting with her next Tuesday. So frustrating!!!

Chloe- awesome tip about the cocktail hour being free AFTER the mariachis are mentioned... I need to totally play that one up since we are getting them anyway wink.gif I loved all of it in your pics- looked like fun! OH and I just told FI about the cigar idea you had for it- he's all over that.

Samira-I'm not wearing a veil, and not sure if you can tell by my dress in my siggy, it's kind of between an aline and mermaid too. I'm just wearing a flower in my hair. Can't wait to see pics of your dress!

Frenchie - Thanks for all the info!

Ladytrunk - I had decided against the bows too, but after the link which Chloe sent me its so cheap to get the bows so now I have decided to get them. I heard before the hotel puts them on free or may charge a flat fee of $20. so now I am going with it.

Is anyone doing a wlecome oot bag? if yes where did you buy the bags from?

Question for all the brides...how are all your guests booking rooms?? Did you put a deposit down? Or are you just letting your friends book their flight and rooms on their own? How did you book your room? Just trying to hammer out the begining details!

Thanks, jenna

Chloe- OMG, just got to look at your pictues! SO GORGEOUS!!! I absolutely LOVE your dress! And yes, please tell us who your photographer was!

Jenna- Most of my guests actually booked through the group TA that we used. Some of them also ended up booking on their own through other TA's or even online.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
