Your pics are gorgeous Lisa! I'm SO glad that you had a blast! My only question for now is-- how did the pre meeting with the wedding coordinator go? Did you have any decorations or favors that they gave out/set up for you? How did that work? Can't wait to see more pics!!

Shellk- sounds like you are getting TON done! Can't wait to hear about the BD shoot and hopefully see a couple of them!

Well today is the first day back to work for me after thanksgiving. I took Monday off. Work is a sh*tshow already sad.gif

wedding stuff has been on the back burner lately with the holidays and other things that have been keeping me busy. I'm hoping to get back to working on some things ASAP! I still have a few invites that need to go out to people who were slow in getting their addresses to us.

How is everyone?

I can't wait for Josie to get back! I hope everything was great for her!

Lisa- how's life as a mrs.??

shellk- you've been busy!

The meeting with the coordinator went good. You will go through everything and once you sign the document at the end then it is concrete and you can't change anything. We did bring fans for the ceremony which we gave to Diana (the PR lady at the RPRM) the day before the wedding and they were put on the chairs for the ceremony. We had to assign a couple friends to put the place cards and maracas on the tables for for the private reception. They just went and set it up at 6:30pm and our dinner started at 7pm

Life as a Mrs. is great!!! We had our legal ceremony on Saturday, just at our house with our dog. jeans and t-shirts were worn. It was very laid back and now I am officially a MRS!!!

Hope this helps!

I also wanted to tell you ladies to be careful with your room numbers when you are there, don't shout them out or anything. We found that anyone can go to the front desk and get a room key for any room and they don't ask for id, a last name or anything.

Shellk - How was your boudoir session?

Sammysgirl- I know how you feel...work has been SO busy for me too lately! Between that, going back to grad school, and trying to move into our house, I also had to put wedding planning on the back burner. Hopefully things will calm down soon, because I definitely have to start getting things organized!

So this is not wedding related, but just thought I would share what's going on with me.

I am considering going back to school for nursing. I was in nursing school when i was in college the first time but decided I needed a break from it after my grandmother suddenly passed away. I graduated with a bachelors degree and am currently an employee benefits sales rep. I hate my job and am considering going back to the nursing program I was in the first time around. I go in front of the board of nursing at my college this Thursday. I am now second guessing my decision!!! Going back to school would make money tight and for the first time in my life I would have some debt (besides my mortgage). I know I need to make a change (since i hate my job now and jobs aren't at all easy to find right now). I know with a nursing degree I will have endless opporunities and avenues I can take...it will take me approx 18 months to finish..AHHHH decisions! sad.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
