Shelk- I'm happy to hear that you at least heard from her!

When I read about the bags of rose petals, I had just assumed we would need to bring our own baskets if we wanted them. I'm sure they have them there, but probably for a charge...just like everything else!

I second the comments about no baskets being included. At my wedding I don't think I'll have any flower girls so I'll request them to disperse the petals before the guests arrive. If you are having flower girls I'd bring baskets.... or buy them at the WalMart in Playa del Carmen wink.gif

Shellk- sorry about all that drama. Don't be shy to be forward with her. Don't let her think she can stomp on you and get away with it!! Lay down the law early! When you receive it, thank her for the post and tell her you'd appreciate if she'd take the time to respond to your phone calls and emails in a more timely fashion.

Lisa congrats on 1 month to go- it sounds like you aren't stressing but hopefully enjoying this time!- well maybe stressing just a little wink.gif You girls are doing such a great job of thinking of everything- I would guess baskets aren't included but can be rented for the day- Lisa are you having any decorations on the chairs or anywhere else?

we have no plans on how to get it home. we figure it will get messed up and we'll re-do it at home....unconventional, but it's us :)

Also....here are the vows were planning to say. I actually don't know if they allow you to pick your vows, but if they do we'll say these: "(Name), I love you. You are my best friend. Today I give myself to you in marriage. I promise to encourage and inspire you, to laugh with you, and to comfort you in times of sorrow and struggle.

I promise to love you in good times and in bad, when life seems easy and when it seems hard,

when our love is simple, and when it is an effort. I promise to cherish you, and to always hold you in highest regard. These things I give to you today, and all the days of our life."

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
