Hey girls! Has anyone considered buying a 'fake' wedding set to take to Mexico? Like a CZ set..a couple of people have suggested that I do this just incase I manage to lose the real deal in the ocean or to ensure it doesn't get stolen....

I think it's a good idea but I am a little sentimental about having my real rings on my wedding day...(i guess as long as I have them on my legal day....??)

Thoughts?

I was thinking a birdcage veil simply because I am worried about the wind and having the veil fly all over the place, but I don't think I can pull off the birdcage........

Happy Hump Day!

I’m wearing a veil. When I went to scope out resorts this past March, I saw a few weddings where the bride wore a veil and it looked so pretty in the pictures with it blowing in the wind. It wasn’t messy/in the face at all. It looked very elegant.

Thanks for mentioning this! Maybe I'll go with a traditional veil after all!

Archie510- Thank you SO much for all of your info and words of advice! It's nice to hear it from someone who went through it.

I'm also planning to wear a small veil for the ceremony, but plan on taking it off after. I'm also hoping to have a flower in my hair too!

I think I'm going to do a birdcage--- my dress is pretty much backless, so I think it will be better than a traditional. However, I have seen all of these pretty 'headband ribbon' thingys that I also like... I'm kind of confused :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
