Ael had told me that if the group was 70 or more people then you paid $1900 for the chili's private dinner and you got it from 7pm-11pm. This has a choice of either, and international buffet, a mexican buffet or plate service (for $25 more per person) I would rather do this with the mexican buffet from 7-11 for $200 more then wait until 8:45pm for our dinner. anyway this is what I am waiting to find out because she had to check with management to see if that was allowed. Honestly, I am paying more for it, why wouldn't it be allowed?

Hopefully this all makes sense.....

Josie - did you book your spa stuff yet? what all are you getting done at the spa?
lisa, ah! oh my goodness. I emailed her LAST friday she still has not responded. Maybe she is on vacation or she's sick or something?

I decided to do the semi-private at chilis, but asked if we could pay to have it earlier.....i decided that i'm going to rent out the disco and we're getting a limo to take us from RIU RM to RIU Yuc.

I havent decided on spa stuff yet, all my stuff is included with the caprice package, i'm just doing hair, makeup and nails....but i'm trying to decide if i should book hair appts. for my girls, but they are $66 a piece! AHHH!! so many costs!

Sorry I've been non responsive, my new job role at work has me SUPER busy. I'll post some emails from AEL this weekend.....but like I said she hasnt emailed me in a week!

i don,t think i told you about the shoe sager.i wanted wedges but could,nt find any except for 1 pair which were £70 and i would,nt wear them again.i bought 2 pairs of simple ones from ebay but did,ny feel pretty enough so i went and got some yesterday. i found them on the internert and they were all sold out, found a local shop that had 1 pair left which were my size.i felt it was destiny and i really like them.they will suit the style of my dress i think.

what do you think?

I finally finished the dreaded STD's!! I just say dreaded because they have been a headache. Well worth it though, as everything usually is.

Hey Lisa and Josie~ Im really hoping you heard back from Ael today! sorry yall are both foing through this stress- it seems like they should bump up the time they get in touch with you to at least 3 months prior to the wedding to relieve some of this stress!

I cant believe you can possibly 'buy' an earlier time for dinner and the reception- My wedding is at 3:00 so that would be totally worth it to me! let us know if management allows it- seems like they shouldn't have a problem with it considering you are paying for the extra work required for 70 guests but don't have all the guests...if that makes sense

Are any of you who are using Calypso photographers doing a TTD? Also, how far in advance should I start looking for invitations? Im really starting to feel like I haven't been a good planner- I don't have a dress yet, or BM dresses picked out, or a photog...basically all I have is a date and STD's ...am I way behind??

Josie - I am getting my hair and nails done at the salon but I am buying MAC makeup and getting my sister to do my makeup becasue it's not included in the package. Have you heard from Ael yet? I am still waiting and getting very frustrated!!!!

Paige2010 - I am not sure I am doing a TTD anymore due to increase costs for wedding stuff but if I do it will just be with the resort photog. I got my invitations out at the end of July and had a 1 month rsvp, I figured most people knew if they were coming or not. Don't worry, you are not way behind, I got my dress 9 months before the wedding and it's worked out fine. As for bridesmaids dresses, unless you are ordering them from somewhere, would just keep an eye out when you are in the mall for a dress you like.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
