Happy Monday everyone!

Drew and I printed addresses on our STD postcards we ordered from VistaPrint! Anyone have advice on getting them mailed- can they do "metered mail" at the post office or do you physically have to slap a stamp on each card?

Desiree, get those photos up when you finally catch your breath! Glad you had a stellar weekend!

Oops forgot: Jannae- DON'T give your guests the option!!

I contemplated telling people who were super financially strapped that they could stay somewhere cheaper, but it would likely open a can of worms that you can't take back. I don't trust anyone to keep their lips sealed with information like that! They mean business with that 80% guest rule. Plus, it'd be so much more fun to have your guests all together getting to know each other. Make it seem like RPRM is the ONLY place to be!

Desiree - Glad you had such a great time!

Lisa your dress is gorgeous!

Jannae - I don't think you should give your guests the option! I am telling mine that all guests need to stay at RPRM! Also Wendy from Wright Travel contacted me she said the RPRM travel rates will be out in the next 2-3 weeks so to contact her then.

Also she said RPRM is a 3 1/2 star which I was surprised about because expedia rates it as a four star. But she said all the reviews she had so far about the resort was good, which I knew already. I will let you what kind of rate she gives me. I am also contacting another travel agent whose info was given to me by MrsMarch.

Also we chose our STD's we are doing "Boarding Passes" we found some samples online and my Fiance created one today and it looks really nice! I will post some pics when its finalized :-)

Kimmy- You might be able to just bring them all to the post office and pay for the postage there, but I actually had one weighed for postage and then bought wedding stamps for that amount. I was too nervous that if I just handed the box of STD's to someone at the post office that it would get messed up somehow.

Jannae- Like everyone else said, I wouldn't even give your guests the option. To me the whole point of even having a DW is that everyone is together for more than just the couple of hours that the actual wedding lasts; so if they stayed somewhere else they wouldn't be part of that.

Thanks for all your comments on my dress Ladies, I love it!!!

Jannae - I did tell my guests they could stay other places but no one has booked any where else cause they know that the party will be where everyone else is. I didn't send the info out in an email or invitation or anything but I did tell them if they asked.

I have one guest (wife of a GM) that does not want to stay at our resort but I didnt tell other people or give them the option, I only addressed situations where they asked about.

Lisa - - - <3 your dress, we're both maggie brides and so is Desiree!! yay!

Kimmy- I slapped stamps on all of them, and actually i went to www.stamps.com and had these stamps made and thus far they are a HUGE hit!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
