Josie - To get your OOT bags down there I saw somewhere on this site (can't remember where) that someone was just packing their second piece of luggage as a plastic storage tote and filling it with OOT bag stuff. If you need 2 or 3 I am sure someone would be willing to help you out and take one as their second piece of luggage. I think thats what I am going to do and then I will just leave the tote there. I guess it depends on the luggage amounts you are aloud to have too.

Thanks for all of the photography info girls! If EM is still available by the time I get the deposit together, I will probably go that route, if not, then I will be back on the hunt!!!

Josie—Thx for the threads, but a couple of quesions, did you find that their prices for the resort were a little much? I remember getting a quote from them last year, (when I thought my wedding would be less than a year away, and I was able to check the resort quotes) and the quote she gave me was about 1000 higher… I was wondering if you had checked that at all. Since the July 2010 prices are not out yet, I cannot compare. I just don’t want myself or guests to be paying more than we have to (of course!!!) ALSO- did you find that your guests were willing to use them too? Sorry for all of the questions!!

Samira—YES! The weather is going to be brutal—what time are you having your ceremony? I am signed up for 3pm, but I’m starting to think that will be too hot… And- my STD’s will probably not be ready until early September—about 10 months like the other gals--- everyone is anxiously awaiting them though!! They do know the plan, but of course we’re getting harassed. My FI is so proud of them, they were his idea. We got personalized shot glasses, and we’re sending them in a little box with Cuervo shots and a lime w/ a std card (that I still have to make). More work than I’d like, but it should be cute!

Katie—Thx for liberty, I’ll check them out!

You guys have the best ideas for little gifts and OOT bags!! I am definitely not that far along, but I’ll get there and probably use some of them 

WOW DESIREE, YOU MUST BE GOING NUTS!! YAY!!

Samira- Don't worry about not having done your STD's yet. Like Lisa, we also sent ours out ten months before, and that seemed to work fine.

Lisa /Katie - Thanks for the support, most of our close friends and family know about the wedding being in Mexico and the date. But I gotta get going on finding the right STD, I think i will go with magnet street and just order them this weekend with the FI.

Btw I contacted Tammy (travel agent) but got an email from Wendy Hicks from Wright travel so I am little confused. Is Tammy's travel agency called Wright travel? does anyone know. Or maybe its totally someone else and I must have inquired somewhere else.

Jannae: Just to answer you really quick...my TA from DW.com was really honest with me and she told me that she can get the best deal on rooms, but we could probably find better air-fare on our own. So I passed that message along to my guests. Out of 37 thus far, 32 have booked at least rooms with her, so I assume she is very competitive in that regard.

To answer both you (LadyTrunck) and ShellK, the quotes provided to me included round trip transportation to the resort and often times trip insurance was included too. All in all, I've had at least 10 guests email/call me to say that they are extremely happy with my TA. I gave guests the option of booking on their own if they felt more comfortable, but most of them found it a hassel trying to coordinate everything. So, long story short, I've found that most like her and book through her! hope this helps!

DES!!!! YOU'RE ONLY 8 DAYS OUT AS OF TOMORROW!!!!!!! SO CRAZY!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
