Thanks all for the replies regarding the invites!

I also read in an earlier post some people thought of doing excursion as a gift for their guests. Are any of you doing that, if yes what were you all thinking planning and who are you booking it through, also around how much does it cost per person. I guess it would depend on the type of excursion but I just wanted to get an idea.

I am going back and forth. Since I am asking guests to travel for the wedding, I feel bad asking them to travel for a bachelorette party (my friends are all over the place so there isnâ€t one central location to host a party). However, it will be nice for friends who canâ€t make it to Mexico to partake in some wedding-related event.
MrsMarch - I am just planning to do something in Mexico with my friends just because my friends will be travelling from all over to make it to our wedding.

I'm wondering how far in advance you should do the legal day before you go to Mexico, or rather how close is the closest you should cut it, if you want to make sure it's legal before you go?
Thanks Kimmy :) The certificate we got was not the "real" one....that takes 10 days. You can either have them mail it, which I assume would take over 10 days, or you can pick it up on the 10th day. We got married way early for other reasons...but if you're wanting it to be legal and have the proof before you leave for mexico then I'd suggest 10 days. Otherwise you could do it right before you leave and just wait to get the certificate when you get back home!

I LOVE your pics Josie!!!! Sooo cute!

BTW-not only did my cousin and her husband back out today, but my SIL did too just a few hours ago. I am okay though because my brother is still coming (SIL has a valid excuse now). I was just sad because I lost 3 people with pretty much 1 week to go sad.gif Oh well!!!

Thanks again to everyone! You girls are so sweet! Thanks for being excited for me, even though our legal day is SO premature. Jason's parents are really happy and feel that we are "doing the right thing" by legally getting married before living together...so that makes me feel better. My mom had a hard time with it though because she felt it was taking away from the wedding....but in the end she came around and everything feels the same and I'm still just as excited!

Right now I'm SOOOO excited for you, Desiree! I know you will have the time of your life, and from previous convo's your SIL doesnt sound like the most exciting person anyway but I'm still sad that there are less people coming. That being said, I promise the day of won't be any less exciting and Tyler is going to be so excited to see you walking down the aisle!!!! You are going to be the most beautiful bride, I can't wait to see pics!!!!!

PLUS you'll have a big fabulous AHR to celebrate with everyone and they can be jealous as they watch your slideshow!!!!!

Desiree- It sounds like you have a couple of fun excursions planned...you will definitely LOVE swimming with the dolphins! I actually did it a couple of years ago. I'm hoping to try to plan some excursions for our guests too, but haven't put too much thought into it yet.

Is anyone arranging AND paying for their guests excursions? While I would love to be able to pay for everyone to do something, I think it would be way out of our budget. I think I'm just going to arrange something and tell everyone the price, and they if they want to do it they can, but if not, that's fine too.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
