I ended up booking my trip last week!! December 22! The prices were really high a few months ago, but they dropped because of the swine flu fiasco! I just requested the wedding date too!

I got the Royal Package, does anyone know what kind've bouquets they offer in the package?

Does anyone know what they're going to be giving as wedding favors? I was thinking about maracas or just getting them all in Mexico, but my only fear is that I won't find anything I like. Very unlikely, but you never know what could happen.

Josie, I love your magnets. They're super fun, and different!

I have 70 pages to catch up on! XD

Welcome June! Congratulations! That's awesome that you were able to get discounted prices due to the flu! Hopefully you won't have a problem getting your requested date either.

I'm not sure yet what we're doing for our favors. We're actually considering photo albums since everyone will be on vacation taking a ton of pictures, in addition to just at our wedding.

I LOVE THE IDEA OF MARACAS!!!!!!! I want to do them too! I'll probably buy them before hand, because I won't want to risk it down there! Thats just me though :) Thanks for the compliment!

if you're on a budget, I think this place called partymart has them.

Genuine Maracas - PartyMart: party supplies

I was emailed Mishka about a week ago, i think she said they started at $3.50 depending on what you want. which isn't that bad.

the photo album is a great idea as well, cause you can pretty much guarantee that everyone is going to be going out to buy a photo album.

Is everyone getting married at the Gazebo, it's gorgeous! and the fact that the palm trees are right behind it, will just add more to pictures!!

ohh my goodness.. that link you posted Josie was absolutely amazing. I think I got more information that i expected! Extremely awesome of ty's girl.

Cheers!

Can't decide ... We're gonna do a welcome dinner but that's all I've established thus far. What about you?

Josie I love your STD's...I just might have to steal your idea :) and thanks for the bouquet/cake post- I had seen it before, but could never find it again when I went to look for it! I chose the Caprice package because I am hoping for around 50 guests but now want to change my mind to the Royal package (I think the # of guests listed on the package only applies to the cake and wine toast- but correct me if I'm wrong) so hopefully that will go over ok. Also, does anyone know if you can get a script of what the minister is going to say during the ceremony, or can you give him some ideas of what you would like said? and is it in English??

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
