Lisa-Yes, I am sure you will probably get the free cocktail hour too! I thought about the seating plan and numbers, but I decided against it. I just want the wedding to be as stress free as possible. Plus, I just want everyone to sit where they want to. I have been soooooo super stressed lately! I just can't wait for the wedding to be here!

Desiree - I love the new BM dress! It will compliment your dress so well! What is it made of? It looks like muslin. If thats the case, you might want to get a plan for something for her to wear under it. It might not be see through in the store, but it will be in the sun.

Josie - to answer your question from awhile ago, the ttd dress is big all over, but mostly in the boob and hip areas. I'm shaped kind of like a 12 year old boy.

I don't think I'm going to mess with seating charts or anything like that, but I guess it depends on how many people come. I have absolutely no idea how many people to expect. I think if it ends up being a lot of people, we'll just let everyone fend for themselves. But, if it ends up being just a few people, we might do some kind of seating chart.

It feels like time is just flying by, and all of you girls are getting married so soon!

I was actually wondering the same thing! Since it's not as many people as a typical wedding, is everyone planning on doing a seating chart and place cards? I wasn't planning on doing this.

Desiree and Kelly- Just saw your response to this after I posted. wink.gif

Wow, this thread, while extremely informative is also overwhelming. I'm in the very beginning stages of planning our DW. So many of you have answered my anxiety ridden questions. So thanks!

Two questions:

1. What is the deal w/the boudoir vs TTD photoshoot? They offer this at the RIU? Or is this something you're doing before/after the nuptials?

2. Are we crazy for wanting to marry in the heart of hurricane season? My reason behind this is because I want our post-nuptial party to be on Halloween weekend.

I know - isnt this forum amazing? You'll find so much info here!

To answer your questions:

1. Boudior pics are like sexy pics that many people give to their FI's as a present before (and sometimes after) the wedding. They are generally done in your hometown and prepared as a gift.

Trash the dress is an additional photo session done in mexico where you basically take all sorts of crazy pics in the water or in the sand, not caring if your dress gets dirty. They are extra and people do them because they are a lot more "non traditional" then your posed (day of) wedding pics would be. A lot of girls even buy at TTD dress that is different from their wedding dress, and they take the pics the day after their wedding.

2. I think October is a great idea! Travel is cheaper and a halloween party sounds amazing!!!!!!!!!! My TA said that she's planned over 100 october destination weddings and has never encountered a hurricane!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
