Hey Trina!

Welcome! I am getting married in a month and a half! Whew! I will let all of you know how everything goes and take pics. To answer your questions, I heard that the sandbags look like rocks too. I don't know exactly how long the semi-private reception lasts, but I will let you know on that one because that is what I am having. As for the music we were planning on bringing our IPOD and Bose system to play music, but I don't think we are anymore. I just don't want to lug it down there. We are hiring the mariachi band so that will provide everyone with some music. I am getting married at the gazebo, not the beach. The only reason I chose that is because there will be topless women on the beach and I don't want any in my photos. The pictures of weddings on the beach from the blog look beautiful though. I really like the chuppahs or whatever. I booked before I reserved my date though because they asked me my reservation number. Oh-I did BD pictures and I can't wait to give them to FI. I highly suggest this as a wedding gift. I did go topless in some of my pictures, but I am friends with my photographer. The other pictures I just wore cute lingerie and in one I wore my FI's dress shirt and boyshorts. Good luck with all your planning and we are so glad to have you as a RPRM bride!

~*~RPRM BRIDES~*~

I was contacted by Ael and I now have all of the information for planning our wedding. I am so freaking excited. PM me your email address if you want me to forward you all the info. She attached the Chilis Menu, Boto Fogo Menu, Excel Spreadsheet to submit guests information, and a Bride/Groom Information sheet. She also asks lots of questions and she gave me my date and time to talk to the wedding coordinators!

Welcome Trina! It's nice to have another member to add to our group! I also went through the same thing you are, since my wedding is March 2010. I just got the rates about three weeks ago and was finally able to send my STD's out last week!

Desiree- Thank you so much again for all the info! I can't believe how soon it is for you! SO EXCITING!pinkie.gif

Well I went trough all the info, I still have to talk it over with my FH but I am thinking we will get the harpist for our ceremony and just bring our Bose for music during the cocktail and reception. As for the cake, right now I am thinking Vanilla with strawberry, that sounds good!! We are going with the Caprice package because we are going to have more then 50 people attending. For the extras I am getting chair covers for sure, I just think they make everything a little more elegant. I will also probably get bouquets for my BM (4) and boutonnieres for the GM (4) also centre pieces but I am not sure which ones...huh.gif I am also going to get the largest photo package because we never had engagement photos so I would like lots from the wedding.

That all sounds really nice Lisa! We are doing the vanilla cake with strawberry filling too! It sounds yummy, plus everyone will like it. I agree with you on the chair covers, so I am doing that too. We didn't get engagement photos either. We waited too late! I think we are going with the smallest photo package at the RIU because we will have a professional photographer at our AHR.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
