Girls- What are you doing about invitations? I can't decide if I should work on creating them myself, or ordering them, etc etc... Do you need specific inserts when it's a destination wedding? So far I like these the best (hopefully in my color though). If you have links to invitations you like, can you post themhuh.gif? I'm on a mad hunt right now!

Also, do you think it would look weird since we are J&J? I can't decide how having the same fist initial would look??

That invitation is really pretty! I love it! The colors are so nice, but I can see where you are coming from by saying J&J (we have a steakhouse here called J&J, haha...) I used JessicaM (her BDW name) from The Stylish Scribe for my invitations. The Stylish Scribe, LLC Custom Invitation Design in Reno, Nevada She was really easy to work with and so sweet. She will work with your budget. We did the pocketfold invitations. I will try to post a pic.

I'm actually working with Jessica from The Stylish Scribe too! She's making my boarding pass STD's. I would definitely recommend her! We haven't decided yet what we're doing for invitations, but I did come across ones that I like. They're nothing special, but I like the beachy/tropical look they have.

Desiree - Your invitations are awesome!

Josie - I like those invitations, instead of putting J&J why don't you just put your names, I think that would look good too.

We did passport STD's and for our invitations I think we are going to do passports and then for thanks yous we will use postcards, then it sticks with the whole travel theme, what do you guys think?

We decided to make our own invites. We plan on using Cards & Pockets to get all the supplies we need. Then maybe add a few embellishments with some stuff from Micheals, like tying raffia with a few beads on it around the outside to close them and using a palm tree hole punch on the inserts. We're going this route because what we plan is pretty intricate. There will be RSVPs and explainations of all the group activities we're planning. I also really wanted a project. I like to get crafty.

Josie - That invite is very cute, but it confuses me. I can't fiqure out where the M & K comes from since its not their initials. But, I think its really sweet and cute. I also don't think J & J would look weird.

Katie and Desiree - I really like both of yours!

Lisa - I think that's a really cute idea!

Hi Girls - More help please! After stressing for a bit I decided to try and design my own invitations... I used the previous one as inspiration and came out with this. I think I'll change the wording, but what do you think of the template? If I had it printed at Kinko's would it be totally obvious I made it? Be honest! Thanks :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
