Shellk,

Were you actually able to book your room and everything yet? I have my wedding date somewhat confirmed for March 2010, but they won't let me go through the last step of confirming it until I have a room booked. The only problem is that they keep telling me their 2010 room rates aren't out yet.

katie,

yeh we booked a 2 week holiday including the wedding at the end of feb 09 we fly out 7th feb 2010.but it has took until today for our ta to get a confirmed date from rprm.we have not got the paperwork with all the extras etc that should go in the post now.

we wanted to book and the prices did not really matter to us because there are only 4 of us.i am guessing you want to know the prices before you book because there is a group of you?

Oh wow...so you actually got to book your room too? I am still waiting to hear what the group rates will be, but I'm going to book my room ASAP...my TA told me that the rates aren't out yet, so I'm going to have to double check with her...espeically since you're getting married only a month before me and were already able to book yours. I just can't wait until everything is confirmed so I can stop stressing out!

katie,

that is exactly how i feel.once i have everything in writing and confirmed i will feel much better.it still does,nt seem real but today helped.i am hoping i receive everything from my ta next week.

i would defo double check with your ta because yeh it is only 1 month before yours and we have been able to book everything.i have spoken to another bride on here too who gets married at the end of feb and i think she has everything booked?does it make any difference with you waiting for group rates?

have you done any planning or are you waiting until you have booked?its silly i wanted a dw so that i did,nt have much planning or stress but now i want to organise things hehe.

Shellk,

I actually spoke to my TA after hearing from you and she said that the rates for Feb are out but not March...so crazy, I wonder why the entire year isn't out. Oh well...hopefully not much longer. I have started planning a little, but not too much because I want to make sure we have a location first before I go too crazy! I have someone making my STD's, but don't want to order them until I get my confirmation. I definitely agree with you...I thought this would be so much more organized and less stressful, lol!

Katie,

Did you get a confirmation code already? I got one that held my wedding date for a period of time (like 30 days or something pretty long) so that I had time to figure out WHEN to leave and WHEN to return. Like you, I got almost all the way through booking, and needed room info! I was reassured that the date was still held while I tried to figure out my travel timeline, so don't worry!

To answer ShellK- I just googled "wedding tickers" and found a BUNCH of sites that had different countdowns available.

katie,

i wonder if feb is classed as winter 09?it is a little silly though.i did have a little look into it for you and there is another bride on the general forum that has the sam trouble as you but she wants to marry in may she thinks prices come out in may?so when can you book?

its good to speak to someone in the same position with their wedding date so close hehe.i think the same as you like i have explained even though date is confimred i want it in writing.i am going to start my dress search next saturday.cant wait.

can you believe how great this forum is.

If anyone is looking for Save the Date's, i got mine from magnet street. ( Product Type: Save the Date Magnets )

I couldn't find any destination/beachy ones that I liked, so I found a plain black one and google imaged a bunch of different tropical pictures. It turned out really cute, and you could personalize however you wanted right from the website and see what it looked like. I attached a few (but didnt update our names, just the pics) so you guys could see, in case you like them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
