We used Adventure Photo at the resort.  I worked with Sergio, he is the Chief Photographer at the resort.  Love him!  Our pictures are perfect!  We had a video of the ceremony & beach footage as well - love it!  Well worth the money!  All the pictures I have been posting so far are what they took at the ceremony, etc.

When I booked them, I orginally dealt with Petar Gachevski - he is the Regional Manager.  His email is pgachevski@vallarta-adventures.com  Please tell him I said hello if you should reach out to him for pricing.

Please let me know if I can assist further!  xoxo

Awesome Elissa!

I have had some contact with Petar at Adventure Photo already.  I would love to have photography/videography at our wedding.  Your pics are stunning...looks like you had beautiful weather too.  I tried and tried to get our wedding time moved up when I found out the sun sets earlier in the fall months but they said the officiant had a wedding prior to ours and therefore could not move our wedding up.  Hoping we don't get married in the dark...maybe I can chat with Erika about some lighting around the gazebo if necessary.  I wonder if the photogs can take pics on the beach at dusk or in the dark...might be kind of neat.

I am thinking we will use the resort DJ too.  We have a list of reception songs that we are adding to constantly but definitely do not want to bother with it ourselves during our reception.  I think I will take your advice and have a seating chart and escort cards.

I'm trying to think of any other questions I can ask...I always go blank...need to start a list!  This blog is very helpful:)

Congrats! And yay, you have so much time!!! :) We are getting quotes between jan - april 2014; our TA won't book anything for us until mid-end of summer because she knows she will be able to get wicked rates if we just wait lol!

Riu mexico/RM and grand sunset princess are top choices for us at this point!!

When did you get engaged!!? Is Riu RM/mexico one of ur hopeful places? :)

Congrats to you too! I'm really jealous yours is so soon! It's a weird situation because I'm not engaged yet. Hopefully soon! He has the ring :) My boyfriend has blackout dates for vacation next year when they convert software at work. He is one of the main people for the conversion. We have to have a date picked so he can make sure they don't convert that month! In order to have a date we need a venue! Lol I haven't checked out Grand Sunset Princess yet! My top choice was VIM, but it was too pricy! Riu is adding up with the private reception fee :( When are you going to book your venue?

I got married at RPRM on May 4th of this year. I will eventually get around to writing a full review, but right now I am still trying to decompress. We have not even picked our pics out yet. That being said, the resort is great, Erika is great, the wedding was great, the semi private cocktail hour was great. We have no complaints at all about the wedding.

Or AC in our room was not working well, we never complained. It wasn't that bad. However, getting ready in there was awful!! So, if your AC is not in full function, get that fixed! I thought I was going to pass out from heat stroke!!

We were seated at the 8:30 dinner seating because we did a semi private dinner. We were literally the only people in the restaurant, they took great care of us!! With that, came a 3 hour cocktail hour. We have quite a rowdy group of family and friends and the Don Julio was flowing like crazy in celebration so dinner was quite funny! Lol

Keep the planning easy and simple, try not to stress. We did not overdue it with decor or anything and we had an amazing time and so did all 38 of our guests!!

Jessd123,

Thank you for your post!  I can't wait to read your full review.  It sounds like you all had an amazing time.  Congratulations:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
