We'll have about 18-20 people.... I have a couple that is still supposed to come but they haven't given me their info yet. As far as I know, the hotel is now sold out for the dates we're going soooo, if they say they booked and really didn't, they are S.O.L. I can't wait til this is over. My guests are driving me CRAZY. I probably won't do a planning thread...but will do a review with pics and stuff when I return.

So my new anxiety? The weather. The extended forcast doesn't look so good for me. Rain starting next Wednesday...sooo hopefully its the 20min down pour and sunny right after. Urgh....

V- Thanks for the info.

how was the ceremony?  does the minister work with how you want your ceremony to be and what you want him to say?  I wanted to add something different and was wondering if they can do it. does Nancy need to know this prior or does she go over it with us during our meeting?

I'm having 14 ppl coming and can't wait any longer..I sooo need to relax and destress.   I started packing last night and don't know how i'm going to fit everything.. i need to find more luggages!!

I'll have my planning thread by next week.

I haven't been on here in forever, but I just checked back in.

Virginia-Congrats on being a Mrs. I'm so glad everything went well. I saw some pictures on facebook and you looked beautiful.

Seeflowers-I second what Virginia said. It was supposed to rain everyday we were there and it only rained one morning before anyone was even up. We only knew because the sidewalks were wet. Keep in mind we were even there when the tropical storm was at sea and didn't get any rain.

Thanks Dana! Nice of you to check in!! ;)

Celestial - we didn't do anything specific or different during our cerenony but they guy we had was AWESOME! To be honest, earlier in the week there was a wedding I saw on the beach where the judge's accent was so thick that Nancy actually grabbed the microphone from him a few times to clarify what he was saying. I was horrified. The guy we had (his picture is below - I have no clue what his name is but maybe you could request him using this picture?) was really, really nice. He actually seemed like he really cared and he was very easy to understand. A few of my guests (including my cousin who is a priest) commented on what a nice job he did, especially seeing as I never met him before the ceremony!  I'm sure you could request whatever you want to add to the ceremony though and he would incorporate it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
