Hi ladies,

I officially heard from Nancy with my official emial! I had a big weekend this weekend doing wedding stuff...starting to put together my OOT bags, wedding programs, booked spa appointments at the resort, etc. Next Saturday is my shower! It was supposed to be a surprise but my sister is flying in from out of town so they knew I would find out right when I saw her anyhow! I need to find an outfit this week...

Seeflowers - what do your two dresses look like??? Do you have pictures or can you post a link? I'd love to see them.

The dress I bought for my legal/church/home ceremony is the same dress I plan to wear for my welcome dinner at the resort. It's this dress in ivory.

I still have to find shoes and a shawl to go with it for the legal ceremony (it will be April 2 in New England...still a little cold up here!). For the welcome dinner I want to find some fun heels/sandals to change it up a little.  We booked dinner at the same place we got engaged with both of our parents after the legal - so that should be fun! We booked a limo and everything to take us from the church to dinner and back.

I had my face and hair and nails done at the Renova. She did a great job on all of them although i would say that the eye makeup was a bit on the heavy side..... i'm thinking tranny here. i would still recommend her though, cos after i wiped a bit off it still looked heaps better than could have done it. she put false eyelashes on for me too which i cannot do myself. they use MAC cosmetics, but it was kind of dark in the salon when she did me, so when i got out in the natural light i was a wee bit orange, but then i don´t really wear makeup most of the time anyway.

These were minor things, nothing that a cotton bud couldn´t put right. My make up stayed put all day, and looking at the photos i think i scrubbed up a treat!

I've been trying the find a picture of my dresses on-line but can't find them :(   The "legal"/"party" dress is a short, white Calvin Klein dress...soooo cute and kindda sexy. My FI loooves it. I went to the gym last night and today because its a lil snug.... 5 more pounds and it will be perfect. The welcome dress is made by Nine West. Its black, white, with pink accents... kind of a sundress?

We decided to not do the legal until we come back from Mexico. I think that better suits us. We feel that we want the Mexico ceremony to be the first time we say vows to eachother, etc. The legal ceremony is just paperwork... because it will be in May, hopefully it will be warm enough for the little white dress. If not, I'll need to find a shawl too!

So I guess Nancy jumped the gun when she said she was contacting me with in a week to start planning... she hasn't sent the 'offical' email yet. I'm not too worried though.I know it should come in a week or so.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
