SCarp-I would get everything she says in writing when it comes to prices b/c those prices are higher then we paid. Our rate was $20/person and $1200 for the DJ. I have to tell you the DJ was awesome and so worth it if you can get her down as far as price! We weren't able to negiotate that much, but in our emails prior i kept referring to the package that I purchased in 2009 and she gave us a small break. As far as the mani/ped, hairstyle they are not worth $800. The hairstyle I think was about $125 and then mani/pedicure was about $65-70, if you book online before you go you get a 10% discount also. I'm not sure about the 2011 package, but our Caprice package included a massage and body exfoliation too which would cost a few hundred dollars.

As far as the cocktail hour, I think you have to decide if you want to be inside or outside. If you want outside def go with Lyrico Bar, but if you want inside then go with Lobby bar. The inside of Lyrico Bar is kind of dated and not that nice.

DSCN2510.JPGDSCN2512.JPG Well here is picture from my hair trial! I really like it, so hopefully they can do something similar in Mexico. Sorry if the pictures are big...

I have been MIA lately on the site as I am trying to do last minute things and also was in a wedding this weekend so did nothing for my wedding all friday, saturday and this morning. Starting to get anxious about getting everything packed up and making sure I have everything in line. I know it will all work out, but just ready to be in mexico!

how long ago did they get in touch with you? our wedding is in 1 month and i´ve not heard from the wc yet,

i hear you about starting to get anxious. i feel like i have a million things to sort out, but i cna´t see when i´m going to get the time to do them, either i´m at work, or the kids are home, and they are not particularly helpful when it comes to arranging flowers and stuff like that!

what date are you leaving?

Quote: THANKScheesy.gif... You definitely can use it an inspiration pic. I am really happy with how it turned out.

So the resort contacted me at that 6 week mark... I am sure you could contact her if yours is a month away and you haven't head anything yet.

We leave on Wednesday! :) :) But, we are leaving our hometown tomorrow afternoon to go stay at a hotel closer to the airport, so everything needs to be done then! CANNOT WAIT!!!

Hi ladies. I've been MIA lately - so busy...just enough time to peek in and keep up, but not enough time to formulate a post that was worth posting!

Jen - I hope you have an amazing day! I can't wait to hear about it!

I'm about 4 months out and am beginning to freak out a little about pricing. We've just bought a house that needs a ton of renovations, which is fun, but just adds to the stress. And then the holidays...I'm just hoping I don't run into too many unforeseen expenses when I get there!

Does anyone have an email address for the new RPRM wedding coordinator? I want to email her to find out what the magic number cut-off is for a private versus semi-private reception. For instance, if I have 40 people do I automatically have to have a private reception and pay per person? What is included, if any, for a reception? So many questions all of a sudden!

Hope you are all doing well!

Virginia

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
