Hi everyone!!!

sorry i have been MIA, i just got back from Thailand and it was a great trip, family vacation as our honeymoon and all! things are going good here, the FI's gma is still causing problems, she is now telling everyone its going to cost them 2000$ to go to Mexico which is completely untrue!!! sigh but what are you going to do? I just got my invitations together and will be mailing them this weekend YEA!

LInds -- congrats on your wedding!!! can i add you as a friend on facebook??

Samira -- Congrats on your big day too wishing you all the happiness let us know how it goes!!!

JNagan2011 -- thats so exciting that you got people booking already, your wedding date is after mine and i still only have 2 people booked sad.gif

I was wondering what all of you are planning to do as part of your honeymoon? At first my FI and i were going to stay after the wedding, but since we took all the time off to go to thailand we are planning on flying out thanksgiving day and doing a PRE-honeymoon trip before the wedding. we are thinking of renting a car and just driving down the cost and backpacking our way through and staying at little hotels/guesthouses, nothing fancy since we blew our budget going to thailand . problem is what do i do with my dress and all my other wedding stuff? any suggestions?

well happy weds everyone! take care!!!

yay Samira!!! Have a great time!!

Dreaming- that's a tough one- I think it's a great idea, but you're going to have all of your stuff.... hmmmm. Maybe you could set it up so that you could drop it off before you guys head out and leave it with the wedding coordinator? I know I would be really nervous to do something like that, but it's an idea....and thanks on the congrats!!

Hey Linds or any past brides- what time did you get your hair done and when was your ceremony? I have to set my appointment, and I want to give myself enough time and not have to rush. But I don't want to have it done too early either.... thoughts?

Jannae- I didn't get my hair done at the spa, however I did it myself and one of my BMs helped me finish it. We started on it at 2 and had to be ready to go for the ceremony at 3:55....it worked out perfectly.

Dreaming of sunshine. Welcome back. How was Thailand? One thought - not sure if you have a bunch of family or friends joining you in Mexico but you could always ask one of them to carry some of your stuff home with them so you don't have to worry about it on your roadtrip? I fully plan to take advantage of friends/family coming to help transport some of my stuff...little do they know yet! :)

I love.gif the good news too! With the drama in my life, its a great balance!!!

So as I start this new job, I'm thinking I may start working on my own business. I think I am going to start trying my hand a wedding planning and crafting details like silk/real touch arrangements, all sorts of things. Specializing in helping brides coordinate and create their vision for destination weddings. I think it would be a great side hobby for now that could eventually florish...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
