Thats a good idea, thanks!! Your wedding is just around the corner. I can't believe it is almost May. How are the final plans coming along?

~ Question about registering... When did or will you register? Our wedding is just 8 months away, and with my internships I am guessing showers will not be until late October or November-ish. Just wondering how far in advance did you all register?

About registry, I initially didn't want to register anywhere esp since ppl are flying all the way to MX. But my inlaws insisted that I register on one as many of them will not be able to make it so I registered in honeymoonwishes.com

The Fiance and I bought a place together in 2007 so we basically have all household stuff so we thought the honeymoon registry was the best option for us. We plan to go to Italy in Oct for two weeks.

We are not even publicizing the registry, the registry info only shows in our website and I have specifically asked ppl who are attending not to give us a gift as their presence will be gift enough. with that being said, ppl still found out abt it and last few weeks we have been getting quite a few things from the registry.

Sammysgirls - good advice on the spa thing, I just booked all ours today.

We hadn't planned on registering, mostly since we plan on moving back to Denver soon, and we have no space right now, but people have asked so we're registering for honeymoon $$. I think we're using honeyfund.com. We haven't done it yet though- so we probably should get on it!

**so funny Samira- I was typing this the same time as you! I will check out your site too, since we haven't decided yet. Any reason that you chose them? And we too, are going to Italy for ours! We're waiting a bit, because of the move. I can't wait to hear about your trip!!

Wedding plans are coming along okay, just wrapping up last minute details and getting things in order for our AHR which is June 5th. We've just had a lot of really stressful family drama surrounding the wedding in the past week so I am just so worn out mentally and emotionally!

Sorry for all the stress Sammysgirl...I know it's probably hard but try to enjoy this as much as you can!

Question for those of you who had your legal ceremony before RPRM- what should the bride wear to such an event? We are having ours very small at the church with only a few people (parents basically) and then we're going to a nice dinner afterwards. Thoughts?

Thanks for the advice girls! Family is already asking about showers and registry even though I tell them their gift is just celebrating with us; they don't listen. I definitely agree about not posting it anywhere, so those who are not insisting on buying a gift, might actually just do what we say and not get anything :).

vlvetter7- Well, we are doing ours at the courthouse before hand and very informal so I was thinking even just jeans and a sweater (I want this just to be the paperwork before hand and not seem real at all)... But for a church wedding, I'd same maybe find just a cute dress (even white) that you might where to like your rehearsal dinner?? Just so it doesn't feel as bridal as your wedding dress but a little wedding feel to it.

Jen-We registered sometime in Feb at Crate and Barrell and still have to register somewhere else b/c I barely have anything on there. I like most of you didn't want/need to register but everyone said I should or I'd get things I didn't want. No one knows we are registered yet so you could do it now before you leave for you internship and that way it is done.

Sammysgirl-I'm so sorry you are stressed out and can't enjoy this. It really can dampen the whole experience!

vlvetter-I think you can wear whatever you want. I've seen other pictures of girls that wore a cute dress or nice pants and top. I think it depends on how you want to feel on that day.

Jannae - I went with honeymoonwishes becuase the reviews were good there was a site which compared honeymoon site and fees etc, and honeymoonwishes seemed like the best deal. Plus it was very easy to set up literally took 30 mins to set up the registry. We leave for Italy Oct 16th and I will def share details. just incase if u want to check out my registry for ideas below find the link.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
