Thanks! Post pics Dana!

I'm going to wear my hair up, Paige. With the humidity, I know it's gonna go wild if I leave it down! No veil, and I'm hoping to have a pink flower in it-- what about you? And what are you other ladies doing?

I agree with Jen, Adrienne- maybe the girls want to give it a little more time for getting in shape or something- it is TOTALLY something I try to do before any big event! Also, food for thought- maybe waiting wouldn't be a horrible thing because you may change your mind. A year out from my wedding, EVERYTHING was different than it is now. But then again, I change my mind often about everything.

I got my earrings! I am so in love with them. The pics don't really do them justice, they sparkle a ton.

I am still debating, want to do half way up and down. But will go check out the humidity first and do a trial run and if its really bad then will put it up.

I am wearing mine up to.. My hair never curls all that well so I was thinking about doing more of a low bun and definitely want to do a flower in it. I am wearing a veil (my something borrowed from my sister, who got it as a gift from my gma so it has some meaning behind it). This is one inspiration picture I've found:

We forgot to take pictures while I was in it on Saturday. I'm storing it at my mom's house so I'll have to go back and take pics in it. I'll post them when I finally do.

I'm debating about my hair too. I was thinking half up too. I'm still looking for hairstyles. I still can't decide on a veil. A friend has a veil that I can borrow when I finally decide. I really like the flower idea too!

Hi Ladies, so I heard from Ael today to finalize our wedding plans. Apparently my only choice of dinner place is Chillis or Bota Fogo and at 8:45 pm. But I am hoping this really isnot the case since I know so many other brides got earlier seating.

I will make my list of questions and email her back over the weekend.

also question for brides that have gotten married at Riu before, did Ael meet you guys at Riu Palace Mexico for the appointment instead of RPRM, and was the walk really 15 mins?

Samira- We did have to meet Ael at Riu Palace Mexico...and it was about a 15 minute walk down the beach. I actually walked there a couple days before our meeting just to see where it was...it's not a bad walk though. And are you planning to have a private or semi-private reception? If you're having a private reception, you may be able to get an earlier seating. I think that's why we were able to start it at 7pm, which I didn't even have to ask for...she just told me it would be this time.

Samira- cool that you heard from Ael- I'm sure that makes it seem even closer! That means I'll probalby be hearing from her mid May.... As for the earrings- I got them from the salon that I got my dress at- a local designer I think. They probably overcharged me because it is not a named brand- but I didn't care.

Love the inspiration pic Jen- really pretty!

Here is my hair inspiration

My hair is awful, its frizzy, wavey, straight & curly all in one and to wear it down in a hot country is a no no.... takes me 2 hours to get it right for a night out here at home!!

Wouldnt mind wearing it down but i would only end up looking like Monica from friends when they are in barbados!! Haha :-)

xoxo

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
