Definitely a great idea...I'm going to print all of them tonight!

Samira- I don't know if you looked into any other photographers of their caliber, but I think their rates are comparable. I started out with a really low photography budget, but when you think about it, your pictures (besides your marriage) are really the one thing that lasts beyond that one day. I personally think they were worth every penny. My dad was the most sceptical, but even he was impressed with them in the end. If you want a little more info on them as individuals - like if you're choosing between them - just let me know, and I can give you my perspective of their different styles. I will tell you, that every single person that has seen my pics has said that they're the best wedding pictures they've ever seen.

vlvetter7 - All the guys suits, including my stepson's vest and pants came from Studiosuits.com, Custom Suits | Designer Suits they came pretty quickly and were much better quality than I was expecting for $99. My husband got the vest with his to make his more fancy. A few of the guys had to have theirs altered slightly, but I think it was due to faulty measuring.

Chloe- I know you mentioned that you would not reccomend writing your own ceremony. I was planning to, but after hearing your advise and Ael having mentioned the same thing, I've changed my mind. Would it work out if we wrote our own vows and had members of our wedding party read the hand blessing ceremony and the sand ceremony scripts, but the minister guy just do his own thing besides that? I would still like to have it somewhat personalized to us....any advise at all would be appreciated!

Chloe I totally agree with you on the photographer part but my FI doesn't understand it! and its important what we think because we are paying for the wedding and then we are having a reception in Toronto (where my mom lives) and we are paying for that too! maybe I will convince him somehow :-)

Right Kimmy!! After all of this harpist talk, I'm kind of dead set on it myself. As I said earlier, I planted the seed... we talked tonight and I think it's a go- we just have to see where budget is at in a month or so. C'mon ladies, has anyone read my 'FI doesn't want to do a TTD?' ...some call it persuasive, I just call it making him realize he wants it too! haha

Ladies so I need help! have anyone of you hired Dino Gomez or Daniel Aguilar. I read other people's review and everybody had fantastic experience with both.

I did a lot of research and finally convinced the FI that its worth spending money for the photographer.

So now I can't decide who to go with! I love both their work. And for a change both are available our wedding day.

Home - Dino Gomez Photography, Destination Weddings, Wedding Photographer

Daniel Aguilar Photographer - Destination Wedding Photojournalist in Riviera Maya, Mexico, Texas and Worldwide

FI thinks I should go with Dino Gomez as for his price $4000 he offers unlimited coverage wedding day and it includes his travel costs too.

As for Daniel his price is $3500 (travel included) for 5 hours but I LOVE HIS WORK!!

Ok this may be silly, but for you lovely ladies that have already been to the Riu....is the shampoo, conditioner, lotion that is provided at the resort decent? I really don't want to pack this if theirs isn't too bad. Also, is there a hair dyer in the roomhuh.gif

Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
