Ladies throw your scales away! Here's what I do and I have lost 10 pounds... But a lot more in inches. Have a protein shake for breakfast, (I use what's called isagenix, all natural. Just let me know and I can order for you) otherwise you can buy Muscle Milk. in a blender add One scoop, with frozen strawberries, a packet of splenda and 12 ounces water.) then a snack (like an apple with peanut butter) then a 600 calorie lunch. Make sure you have a healthy carb (yam, brown rice). Then another snack. For dinner have a

protein and salad but no carb. After your workouts, have a protein shake. For your workouts, make sure you incorporate some sort of weights.

Hope this helped!

Ooooh I want a magic pill too!!!

Nicola- since about January of 2009 I've lost a total of 20.5 lbs. I did a couple of 'fad' type diets in between there for like a day or two, but really the only thing that works for me is keeping a food journal and making sure my cals don't go above what is right for the goal I have every day. I think that's kind of like the WW method? Also, hitting the gym as much as possible, but mostly watching what I eat. My iphone has a program that you can record food and excersise- I love it! Good luck- you can do it!

Man it feels like only yesterday that i started reading this and now a couple of you have already gotten married CONGRATS!!!!! as for me i'm doing good. getting ready to send out my actual wedding invitations. Did you guys include a "how to book" letter with your invitation , send it separately or just direct them to your website? i got a travel agent i'm in touch with but they dont do plane tickets...however we have a lowest price guarantee 45 days before the date. also did do you plan on doing centerpieces or any decorations and all that stuff? i'm just wondering what i have to budget for... i think since we will be a small group less than 30 we will have the semi private reception which bums me out since i wont have the first dance thing.. any suggestions? how did you guys do it? anyways congratulations to everyone!!! and i'm sure you will all look fabulous on your big day... as for me.. i just started that p90x program and its kicking my butt!!! i saw that a few of you have considered doing this toohuh.gif well happy almost hump day Wednesday!

Adrienne- Your dress is so pretty! And believe me...time seems to have flown by! Your day will be here before you know it!

That's so awesome that all of you girls are so dedicated to dieting and working out! I had big plans to start the gym MONTHS ago, and finally joined ONE MONTH ago! I'm not really sure what I thought one month would do, lol...but I figure it's better than nothing. I'm looking more to tone up than actually lose, but things still didn't work out exactly as I planned. Even though I am and have been really good about going to the gym, I have a really hard time changing my eating habits. I LOVE DESSERT!!! :)

Love the dress Adrienne! Its gorgeous!

Ya, the losing the lbs thing is not working for me... My FI, my parents and I are even doing a biggest loser in which we way in every tuesday. We started the first weigh in all putting in 20 dollars, each week when we weigh in, for every lb gained that week, a dollar goes in the put (gain 4 lbs, put in 4 dollars) and at the end of 12 weeks whoever has lost the greatest percentage of weight loss gets the pot. Needless to say, we're not good at it. I think our pot is over 100 dollars in the 8 weeks we've been doing this lol. My issue is food and beer. I love beer, and just cannot give it up YET.

So, have a BM dress issue.... Found one that I just love, and has looked good on 3 out 4/5 bridesmaid and just know will look good on all. I found a 2nd one that I like too, just not nearly as much as the first. The problem is the first one is 200 dollars and the second on is only 100 dollars... All the girls are telling me it is my decision and they will make it work to pay for the more expensive one. I am feeling way guilty about this as a poor college kid myself. I hate making them pay double, before alterations, when they are already paying lots to make it to Mexico (which means the world to me)... I am really easy going, and for me a dress is kind of a dress and I don't feel the wedding will be lacking if I settle for the cheaper one. What are you thoughts??

Sorry I know this got long! :)

Hi ladies!

I haven't been around in a long time, I was really busy getting everything ready, but we just got back from our wedding at RPRM. I'm still working on the review, but there really won't be anything in there you haven't heard before. We just had a few little issues with Rebecca (like she tried to get us to start our wedding 20 mins early, before our guests had even showed up, and she was talking to her friend while she was supposed to be playing our recessional song - someone actually had to whistle at her). Other than that, everything was great! All our guests were really impressed with the RPRM.

Anyways, here are some pics from our photogs if you want to see what our wedding at the RPRM looked like (give it a few mins to load, its 200 pics)...

Thanks! My BM dresses are just BCBG dresses I found and all the girls liked them. They were in stores a year ago for $350-$400, but I found a seller on ebay that had them in all the sizes I needed (new with tags) and was able to get them for between $95-$105.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
