Re: the inconsistencies w/ pricing....

I would suggest to budget for the most expensive prices you have seen. I thought that since we were bringing so many people (67 people probably equals at least $67K in revenue for the resort) that they would "work with us" on the pricing. Nope; not even a complimentary $12 boutonniere for my dad! All in all, we paid around $8K for the wedding which is significantly cheaper then if we had a wedding stateside with that amount of guests.

Shelk- So nice to hear from you!

Alexis- Sorry to keep bothering you about this, but when did you make the selection to have the sitdown dinner for your reception? Ael STILL keeps telling me that I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT let everyone order from the menu...she's making me so mad right now, lol! Why the hell are we going to pay $25 extra per person, only to make everyone eat the same freaking thing!!!?

I'm so glad that you had a good AHR and are totally enjoying married life Shellk! Can you post a few pics from your AHR??

Ugh Katie- I'm so frustrated for you right now! That just doesn't make sense. Who would ever expect everyone to eat the same thing? It's ridiculous.

Hello ladies!

Hope all is well. Good luck to Katie on the whole menu issue. If rules change this quickly in a matter of weeks with Ael... I wonder what the rules/prices will be by this time next year!

Well just sent out the STDs... Hopefully guests will start putting deposits down so we don't have to dish out so much to reserve

the rooms!

Well big day for me yesterday... Picked up

my dress! My fi's sister took this pic for me.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
