MRS Shellk: beautiful pictures!! You looked amazing, and your hubby is not too hard on the eyes either!

Jrb: I am also bringing my rabbi with us to Mexico (we are having a religious ceremony), so you will not have a problem w/ a Saturday ceremony. I would recommend getting your legal wedding at home though, since I believe your rabbi will not be able to legally marry you in Mexio. PM me if you want to know where I got the items needed for a Jewish wedding.

Sammysgirl: Renova spa sent me an email a few weeks ago reminding me to book my appointments. Paula Casas was so helpful in scheduling all the hair/make up appts for my wedding party. I booked everything online via email.

I'd like to hear about your meeting with the wedding coordinators: was it difficult to make your decisions on the spot?

Dinner: where did you guys eat? Recommendations?

Music when walking down the aisle. Recommendations?!

WELCOME HOME!!!
thanks
i had been dealing with ael but our meeting was with rebecca who was great but forgot to put a reading i gave her in our file so on the wedding day jon had to run back up to the room and get the copy i had.i wasnt happy and ael knew that.ours was very simple so there wasnt many decisions but the meeting is really simple and they have photos for you to look at.just be careful because once you have signed at the end of the meeting you cant change or add anything which i think lisa has mentioned before.

we ate in botofogos which if i was to be honest wasnt one of my favourite restaurants.too much meat.chillis is alot more chilled out decor but the atmosphere and food is great.we changed from chillis cause our friends booked to eat there before the wedding. a mistake but didnt matter.

aisle music, feels like home to me by kristina ?.i was fine until i heard my music come on them i got really emotional.funny when you have listned to it soo many times.

Hey Ladies,

I joined a few weeks ago and made only a couple posts, so hopefully you all remember me. Things have been crazy busy for me being a graduate student, working almost full time, and to top it off I've had this horrible cold for pretty much the entire month of February. Anyways, I'm back!

We are really excited because the resort, Riu Palace Las Americas, just accepted Jan. 15th, 2011 as our wedding date! After reading all your reviews though I'm thinking about changing it to RPRM. Has anyone visited Las Americas, or were trying to decide among the two resorts? I would love to hear any feedback! Because of potentially switching resorts, I've "convinced" Josh on taking a mini-vacation to visit both of the resorts in April. I'm actually shopping for rates this weekend.

Well, I'm glad to be back!

Hola Chicas! We are all packed & ready to go. It still does not seem real…..maybe it will once we land!! My fiancé has been sick all day w/ a fever, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that he miraculously recovers in the next 6 hrs. before our flight takes off! I’ll be back next week to tell you all about our wedding & to share picture. Have a good week!

Yay fsuambs for getting a date (jan 15 is my birthday actually :))! I really don't know much about Riu Palace Las Americas. The reason I liked RPRM is because of the location in Playa Del Carmen over Cancun. Thats all I can really give you. What are you going to grad school for??

Alexis- Hope you have an amazing time, I am sure your wedding will be amazing. Hopefully, your fiance starts feeling better!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
