Hey everybody!

I finally got my 2-month email from Riu, that was super exciting :) After talking with all you girls there were no surprises, which was nice. For the married girls- did you actually track down confirmation numbers for all your guests? I might try to just gives dates booked, if I can get away with that.

For my 50% nonresponders... I spoke to a bunch of them (email/phone) to confirm their plans. Those who had verbally declined in the past I documented that officially in my spreadsheet (haha). There's still a few drifters out there as well as a few "MAYBE's"- those are the worst! Give me a YES or a NO already, you had enough time to get your business in order so make up your mind already!!! About 5 single girls are really holding up my numbers (i hope they come!). Until I have a firm head count I don't want to make welcome-bag purchases yet.

This weekend I want to put together a pre-travel brochure with info on RPRM, travel, Riviera Maya, etc. Anyone have a template they'd like to share? It sounds like a daunting task to start from scratch. So much more on my to-do list. Gah!

ShellK- YOU'RE UP, CHICA!!! Very excited for you!!

Enjoy your journey, Shellk! We're so excited for you!

Regarding the transfer bus/taxi- skip the taxi, it would be a very expensive trip. Find a transfer bus that will take you directly to RPRM with no stops on the way. Orrrr, just enjoy the lengthy transfer bus with the stops: I hear that at each stop the resorts get nicer and nicer, and the RPRM is the nicest one of all, so you will be so excited when you see it!! Mrs March,

Thanks for the update in info. I knew you couldn't have more then 60 at Bogata, but didn't know about the price difference. I looked back at my 2010 package info and no where does it say that you have to pay 25.00 more per person for a sit down dinner. Have you challenged that with her? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for less then 60 now!

So this is dress one... we added the sash because we wanted a bow in back. so the front would be better pinned if purchased :)

This is the other...

Gosh I love both and could see myself/Kory loving either of them on our wedding day.. Thoughts?
Dress #2 looks great on you! It's my pick, it is stunning!
#1 is pretty and simple, and I like the back of it.
Go with the one that makes you feel the prettiest

Shelk- So sorry I missed you before you left...I hope you have an AMAZING time and PERFECT wedding day! I can't wait to see pics when you get back!

KimmyG- You must be so excited that Ael finally contacted you! And I hope I don't have to get everyone's confirmation number, because that will be impossible! I've just been keeping track of everyone's arrival and departure dates...I'm hoping that will be good enough!

Well tomorrow I go for my second fitting for my dress! I hope it fits, so I can finally take it home!!!

Oh no, I missed Shellk too before she left! I hope you have a fabulous time-- can't wait to hear all about it!!

So exciting that it's getting this close Kimmy and Katie-- Good luck on your 2nd fitting-- my first fitting isn't until end of March--- I am SO excited because I haven't seen my dress in the color it was ordered. The sample was only in a buttery ivory color, and I got off white... Luck!

As for the non - responders- this is my biggest fear... I'll probably do what you did Kimmy, and just try and email or call them. And don't worry- I have a spreadsheet too :)

OH and just have to mention a frustration-- we're hanging at a friends house for the superbowl, and two co-workers that recently got laid off were there. Somehow the wedding came up, and they were like, 'oh why weren't we invited'. We weren't that close with them at the time of invites. FI is like, 'of course you are!' WTF? oh well, can't sweat the small stuff. They prob won't come anyway

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
