Dress shopping was fun but a little overwhelming. I actually found my dress before I picked a resort, but I'm ok with that! Keep us updated on "the dress."

Thanks shellk & Jen, the blue diamond was my mom and my fiance had it reset in the pave setting. I already have my something blue!

shellk, my plan is to book at rprm because of you girls. I actually spent my entire Sunday reading all your comments, and I "feel" like this is the one! I can't wait to hear how everything goes!

Jen, the internship sounds like an awesome opportunity.

Jen,

Congrats on your internship.

I sent out preliminary RSVP's with my STD's. I wanted to get a estimated count of how many people were thinking of coming so I could do OOT bags, luggage tags etc.... I sent out my STD the first week in January and made the RSVP date April 1st. Good news is I already got about 20 back, but there are till about 55-60 out.

KimmyG-what are you going to do about the people that didn't respond? Are you assuming they aren't coming or are you going to contact them?

So I am going to attempt to post the two dresses that I am deciding between. Haven't posted pictures yet so we'll see how it works, lol.

So this is dress one... we added the sash because we wanted a bow in back. so the front would be better pinned if purchased :)

Gosh I love both and could see myself/Kory loving either of them on our wedding day.. Thoughts?

Welcome Amber! And very gorgeous ring!!!

Jen- You should totally do the internship in Vegas!!! You definitely can't pass something like that up! And I wish I could see the dresses you posted right now, but they don't show up on my work computer!!! I can't wait to see them when I get home!

KimmyG- Have you heard from Ael yet? I think she actually emailed me at the beginning of January...I was actually surprised, since my wedding is at the end of March. And I can't believe almost half of your guests didn't RSVP!!! That irritates me more than anything!!! My bridal shower is this Sunday and I STILL have people who didn't RSVP...so now I'm to the point where I hope they DON'T show up...because I didn't account for them with my seating chart and favors, lol!

That's so awesome that you'll have your pharmacy degree! Mine will be my MBA...only a few more months to go!

Shelk- It sounds like you've got everything all set to go! I'm getting so excited for you!!!

Jen- its such a tough decision because they both look stunning on you! I love the back of the 1st one, but I really like the uniqueness of the 2nd one. At the end of the day I don't think you can go wrong with either one! You are just one of those lucky girls who looks great in a lot of dresses! Pick the one that makes you feel beautiful and maybe a little sexy wink.gif Let us know what you decide! Sorry I didn't help...this is coming from someone who has had like 6 diff. dresses! haha, don't worry I don't have that many now wink.gif

Amber - Welcome and congrats on picking the RPRM, you will not be dissapointed it is absolute heaven!! Gorgeous ring too!!

Jen - I like dress #2, you look amazing in it!! :) Thats great about your internship, It is great to have the oppurtunity and that you have such a supportive fiance. Lucky you!

kimmyg - For your rsvp's I would try not to get things done too far ahead of time or just get extra for people you think might come. We had people booking a week before we went which made it difficult but thankfully I had just got extra's of everything. Apparently people do not take rsvp cards for destination weddings seriously...who knows why!

Shellk - I am soo excited for you, only 13 days to go until you are married!!! I so wish I was going back there right away...I can't wait to see your pictures!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
