Jannae- I actually don't have TOO much left do to. Now that everything is all set for my bridal shower, I don't have to stress over that anymore. Even though I'm not really supposed to do much for it, I can't help but try to plan everything! :) As for the wedding, I'm really just trying to shop for NEW CLOTHES to bring!!! I also have to get my BM's gifts together. And we're hoping to get our wedding bands this weekend! What DIY things are you doing?

Jen- Time will fly by! I feel like I just start my master's program and now I can't believe I'm almost done!

Shelk- How are you planning to wear your hair for the wedding? I'm still so undecided of what I want to do!

Shellk- sending good thoughts your way! Saturday will be here before you know it. Are you going to do a planning thread? I love those!!

Katie- what are you doing for your bridal shower? A lot of people? I'm not having one, but I am ending up having 2 bachelorette parties- one in Denver for close friends, then the one in MX for all of the girls on the trip. That is early March. Excited!! As for the DIY stuff I have to do...finish the other half of my luggage tags, do rhinestone lettered tanks for me, FMIL, and the little girls. I may do them for FSIL's, but that depends on how hard they are! Also, wanted to do these welcome booklets: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...e-books-54124/

A couple other random things too... ok, I need to get on this stuff. My new puppy has seriously taken over my life and ALL of my time! (as he sleeps on my lap as I'm typing). That's awesome that you don't have a lot to do!

OMG Jannae, your puppy is so freaking cute!!! As for my bridal shower, I'm actually doing a breakfast...it's going to be around 80 people. That's so fun that you're having two bachelorette parties! One of my BM's actually mentioned having a smaller one at home before we go...so I'm hoping that they actually plan it! :) You definitely have a lot of DIY stuff! I wish I did luggage tags, but now I waited too long. I might try to go to Things Remembered or something to get them personalized for my BM's as part of their gift.

Help!! Our travel agent contacted the riu to put in our date fir 2011. The sales exec wrote back that they are not booking 2011 until march. We want feb 2011 and want to give people a year notice. I wish there was a way for us to secure the date we want sooner rather than later.

Has anyone else encountered this. The ta did not go through the website but emailed them directly. I am confused cause it looks like on the site the 2011 dates are up and running. I guess they need to wait and see when the judges are availble, but all we are requesting is a date. Shouldn't they be around everyday to preform a wedding?!

Also I see the dinner seatings are not till 845. What does everyone do after the ceremoney?? Seems like a lot of time.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
