Married life is great!!
You can pay with credit card for everything except photography. Well, they try to make you pay cash for photography. They wanted us to go to the bank and wait in line and take out all the money for the pictures which was $1200US, we just gave them about $200us and paid the rest on credit card,we told them it cost to much money to take that much cash out. Which it did, you could only take out $200us at a time and it cost $20us each time to take out money...wasn't happening!

Hmmm, advice...all I can say is just try to enjoy every minute. The next couple weeks will fly by! Just remember that any decision you have made (except the wedding time) can be changed during your meeting with the wedding co-ordinator. They really do know what they are doing and although we don't feel like it's organized, they have it all under control.

Hopefully that helps :)

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Oh, I have to say...the spa is amazing!! I got 2 messages while we were there. The one included with the wedding package and the combination one and they were both amazing!! My friends also had the body scrubs and wraps done and they said they were great too!

Thanks Dana! Do yall think it would be better to buy each BM (I have 6) a gift certificate to the spa- they come in increments of $50 - so either $50 or $100 each - or just pay for their massage when we get there?

Has anyone found nice starfish necklaces? other than Tiffany's.

Hi ladies-

Just wondering if anyone has the price list for the photographer at the Riu. I'm trying to decide whether I should fly my photog down or use the one down there. If anyone that has it could email it to me at jthingelstad@hotmail.com I'd really appreciate it.

Paige- I personally would just pay for the massages. If you do a $50 giftcard your maids will need to have money to cover the rest but if you do a $100 giftcard they will end up with extra cash on the giftcard and they may not use it. I think anyway you do it they will love it though!

Shellk- you got your dress!!?? Wow. It's really almost here for you!!

Thanks for that advice Lisa. Focusing on not letting the time get away from you is a great thing to remember.

Welcome to all of the new RPRM brides!! I can't wait to hear about your planning, and see all pics. I remember when I was totally new to this thread- These ladies have helped so much!

Paige- so nice of you to get them massages- what a great idea! Personally, I would probably just pay at the end. Also, I got this starfish necklace from FMIL for Christmas. It has a starfish, sanddollar, pearl and jewel. You can't really see the details in the pic, but hope this helps. It is SO pretty in person! It is from Stella and Dot.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
