Hi there! We are getting married June 7, and I JUST booked Marci from Baja Video Productions. She is so affordable, and I'm glad we're spending that little extra to have a video. We're going to have a big party when we get back, and we have so much family that will want to see it. And it will be a great memory for us too! I'd check out Marci and see if she's available!

We finally decided to hire the videographer. Some of our guests do video for a living but we wanted them to relax at the wedding instead of work. A tripod would work for you though, if you don't necessarily care to have movement. We also have tons of family that aren't attending so we wanted a decent quality video to show later. I'm sure to miss a lot as I buzz around so I want to be able to see what I missed later too.

Also, we are skipping the traditional speeches because sometimes they get soooooo long and we just want to party!! Instead we will have the video guy get candid words from guests throughout the night.

We didn't do it, we don't miss it. I spent more to have the photographer for 6 hours instead. I'm happy with that decision because a lot of the fun stuff happened later in the evening and we captured it. Plus, we wrote our entire wedding ceremony, so I know exactly what was said.

I kind of like the fact that my one really true memory from the ceremony is how I was totally fixated on my husband's eyes through the entire ceremony. I remember noting how totally engrossed I was in him and his expressions. I think that if I watched a video, I would remember all the elements (which is awesome) but not that one feeling. It's sort of hard for me to explain this, but that feeling is one of my favorite parts of the entire wedding and I'm glad that's my memory.

If the budget can handle it totally go for the video. Even if it can't enlist a friend.

This was one of my few non-negotiables. I not only want to see but hear all of the great moments of the wedding day.

I am using Tomas Baron as well and thus far he has been good.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
