I can't believe he told you to wear a long veil because of your back fat!!! That pisses me off!! Anyway, I have no words of wisdom just thought I would comment on that!

How long do you have to shed the weight?

If you are not exercising, start. If you are exercise, kick up the intensity. Eat super clean- eliminate sugar, white bread, flour, anything that isn't whole grains, drinks lots of water, use flax seed oil, extra virgin olive oil, lean proteins and vegetables.

If you have at least two week you should be able to do it. Good luck!

I am moving this thread to the appropriate sub-forum. Please pay attention to where you are posting threads and do not post every thread in Jamaica b/c that is your wedding location. The Mods work very hard to keep this forum organized and clean.
Thanks,
Alyssa

My FI and his entire family went on weight watchers just recently...None of them were/are overweight really....but they are all losing weight like crazy on WW. My future father in law has lost 40 pounds since January. My future mother in law has lost about 20 i think and my FI has lost 14 pounds in the past two months. I might be worth giving a try. Also working out daily and drinking lots of water will help.

The same thing happened to me.

Here is the thread where I got lots of helpful advice:

Also, you mentioned toning. My seamstress had me stop lifting because it was broadening my back as the muscle developed. Dammed if you do, dammed if you don't situation...

And, you need to smack the guy for commenting on back fat. You're a size 10 in a wedding dress which probably means you are a 4 in real life. Get your dress and tell him to f-off!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
