Oh man... I'm going to take the other side of the coin... while I think it is sad and potentially a waste of money...

 

If she wants to turn her wedding in to a publicity type event, that is great. It is her wedding, and while we get to pick our colors, our location, and the exact shade of whatever that goes into our whatever... she is choosing to open up that role to someone she has never met. Sounds like that's just her style.

 

I struggle myself with not having someone walk me down the aisle -- my dad is around -- but its a long story. It is not something I would auction off -- just because I think that is an important part of my wedding...

 

But she probably just values it differently.

 

I dunno. I say cut her some slack, laugh about it, and watch the news when she gets like 3 million dollars for having someone walk her down the aisle (I think Playboy should buy it... and then Heff could walk her down the aisle).

See- I don't care if SHE auctions this off. Whatever floats her boat. I personally think the sob story is really a load of crap too- I highly doubt that anyone who is scared to walk alone, would be up with the idea of walking with a perfect stranger. Just my opinion though. I think the story is just to get some laughs on ebay in hopes some idiot will spend some dough.

My major issue is that I get sickened by the idea of how much money goes towards worthless crap- like buying a role to walk some down the aisle. I mean, really- if you have that much money to do nothing with, find a nice charity.
