Eh, not worth the $500 IMO. You could get a college student to make you a nice website for way less, and it wouldn't have advertising for the company all over it. It uses way too much Flash anyhow-- almost a corporate feel to it, you know.

Fi hasn't put our website together yet but I'm pretty sure he's going to host it on a server he already pays for, so no extra costs for us.

I don't like that much flash in a website. It's hard to read the info when there is so much animation.

I went with the free weddingannouncer.com because I didn't want any flash. Many of our guests have a slow internet connection so I wanted something that would load easily.

But then again, FI's cousin is someone who paid a $40,000 site fee just to hold the ceremony and reception inside a room at the Reagan Building on Pennsylvannia Ave ~ yikes! That's double our entire wedding budget!!
Holy Cow! THe site was very cool, and their engagement story was beautiful. However, $500 for a wedding website is a bit steep for me.

I can't believe that anyone would pay that much for a wedding website. I checked out the prices and there are some free wedsites through them but I didn't check to see what it entails. Here are the Packages:

Premium Package 1 - $450US

8 pages + advanced photo gallery with 64 photos + 6 popup pages + own .com

Premium Package 2 - $505US

10 pages + advanced photo gallery with 72 photos + 7 popup pages + own .com

Premium Package 3 - $562US

12 pages + advanced photo gallery with 80 photos + 8 popup pages + own .com

That seems pretty steep still. I paid $40 I think for my site and I got a 50% discount on the price!!! I could have upgraded to another one, but didn't feel like spending even more $ on it. That is crazy!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
