You can change the date or destination for a $100.00-$150.00 fee PLUS any difference in fare which could really add up. If you cancel the trip you have one year from the date the ticket is issued to book another flight on the same airline with the $100-150.00 fee plus the difference in fare. If you do not cancel with the airline and just don't show up for the flight you have no recourse.

How many tickets do you think you will need on that flight? If it's more than 10 you can call AA and ask for a group contract.
I dont think I will need 10 or more on the same flight. My family is starting to piss me off. They said they would stay 1 whole week and I have been trying to find the best rates for everyone and now they aren't sure how long they are going to stay(this is my parents and sister that is recently separated who just took a month long vacation to Canada). So booo to them. I am booking our tickets soon now that I have a TAs opinion!

Thanks for spelling out the changing schedules policy!

I say you should book it. I was a TA for a long time and then worked for an airline before becoming a stay at home mom. That's a great price and if you decide to change the dates but keep the same destination most airlines will only charge $25 for a change fee if they can book the same class. if they can't book the same booking class (eg. U T Y) you'll have the difference in tickets + $25 change fee.

  • 2 weeks later...

Minor update on my status... I never booked the airfare bc I am basically broke. It was going to go on either my credit card or my dad's credit card. I was holding out for his... Now the airfare has gone up a total of $60, 1st it was just $10, now another $50. I'm just kicking my self... but at least gas is going down. sad.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
