Paper or Canvas Bags?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I was wondering what everyone was using to put their OOT bag stuff in. I've seen it done in both paper and canvas bags and was hoping to find out what the majority of you ladies are planning to do. I orginally was going to go with canvas bags and iron-on transfer a little monogram with our names and the date, but I wonder if people will even use this bag again...so I thought paper would be more practicalhuh.gif I thought it would be nice for them to leave with something with our names and the date on it, but am hesitating now, worried if it will be used again after the trip. Just trying to weigh the pros and cons of doing this...

I am probably doing canvas bags. We are putting our monogram on a tag and putting that on the bag rather than an iron on. That way it's customized, but not forever. Someone else is doing this too.

You could also use the monogram image but take out your names and put the location.

I am doing canvas!

1. I rarely pack a beach bag so I assumed that my guests are the same way.

2. A paper bag may not be big enough for what I plan to include

3. Ideally it will be reused. Even if not, just seeign it reappear over the weekend is enough for me.

I'm going to do a canvas bag with an iron on transfer. It will hav our logo on it, but not our names. It will just say something like Cabo San Lucas, June 2007. THat way it will be a reminder of the event, but won't have our names on it. I'm hoping people will re-use them, maybe as grocery bags.

We also are doing canvas bags. I was worried about doing something with our names on it, but FI insisted he wanted them on there somewhere! So, we compromised and put our names on them really small, so people could still use them again if they wanted to- but people definitely know they are for the wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
