Looking for AHR ideas!

Recommended Posts

Kelly, When is your AHR going to be? I'm a Nov bride and once we get back from our HM it's in the full swing of the holidays. We are waiting till the second week of Jan to have ours so it will be less crazy. We are going with an easy luau theme with centerpeices with playsand and shells from the craft store along with cheezy cheap finds you can find now anywhere because of the summer theme.

Maybe you could see about renting a tent or something I'm sure that has to be cheaper than renting out an entire venue. Here in Alberta we have messed weather too one day snowing the next like +20 so we were pondering the tent idea. But then again I don't know what the weather is like ther in Nov it may be too cold to do anything outside.

I think I've decided to bag the whole AHR idea, although I haven't told my FI yet. I've got enough party planning with the DW. I just don't have it in me to do another. When we were going to do it, we were going to wait a few months and have a backyard bbq as well. We were figuring the easier the better.

Kelly I know that face all too well (Make it everyday when I just don't get it) because I really wanted to incorporate our orig home town wedding date of Dec 20th.. but Ummmmmmmm NOPE that can't happen. So I just went with everyone elses schedules. I'm not super hyped about it yet though, we still have yet to book a place but Jan is dead around here for halls.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
