Hi everyone!

I'm so excited to be here!

Alright so I'm cheating a little b/c I'm not actually engaged yet, but my SO wants a very short engagement and we're planning a DW for January or February of 2009! So I decided doing the research early was a good idea.

I'm looking at probably DR or Jamaica. Any advice is more than welcome.

We want to make this affordable for our guests (probably no more than 20 all family and only one child who's 13) and we'd like to keep the budget for the wedding itself under 10K.

Any other KC area brides I'd love to hear from you!

Welcome to the forum! You will find tons of great info to help you plan over the next couple of months! As a DR bride myself, it is definetly an economical choice. Have fun!

Hello! I am from KC and getting married January 2009! You will love the site - so much good info.

We wanted the AI to be affordable for our guests too. We narrowed it down to a few resorts based on what kind of wedding packages & wedding locations they offered (we wanted a beach wedding and a beach reception) and then what the price was.

We are keeping things very simple and stress free as possible.

Good luck with the wedding planning!

Thanks Everyone!

Acire and Wenna Thanks for the info!

Acire- Have you decided on your location yet? Are you using a TA?

Wenna - Thanks for the photog info. This is a local Photog right so the pics she took would be your engagement pics? I'm definitely saving this info!
