i'm really happy with the way it turned out and FH says that i looked "stunning" when i came home...he couldn't stop commenting on how good i looked (although i don't usually wear makeup so this was pretty different for me)

but the only decent pic i have is this one...

you can't see the shimmer or anything and i look like i have a mustache lol

oh and she really really filled in my eyebrows so i'm gonna have to change that for the wedding too....i don't like bushy looking eyebrows!

Ladies, I am certain your photographer will tell you this, but be sure if you are wearing a base makeup that it is camera friendly. Some foundations can make your skin look very white in photos. I learned the hard way.

And don't be afraid to wear a little color. Brides love to look as pure as the driven snow, but you want to have a healthy glow in those pictures.

And, those eyebrows looked fantastic.

I have spent about 9 years as a makeup artist w/Estee Lauder and have done plenty of brides...a little blush or bronzer, a lip liner and some gloss, some shadow and mascara, AND a little brow grooming is all that you need.

Here's to the beautiful brides!

My skin actually didn't look that white, I think it was the lighting in the salon, not so great!

I used a tinted moisturizer as my base and it was actually quite a bit darker than my actual skin tone because I'm so pale (and I'm tanning before the wedding), and a bit of bronzer on my cheeks. The picture doesn't really do the makeup justice sad.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
