Weight Watchers at work

Does anyone do WW at work? I am starting at my work on Thursday. I have done it before and I always lose but I keep gaining back that 20 lbs. This time that 20 turned into 40. I've very discouraged right now and need to do something. My fiance is going to follow the diet along with me. He needs to lose maybe 5 pounds TOTAL. He comes home for lunch every day and runs on our treadmill. I haven't been on it in months. I also belong to a gym that I haven't been to in months.

HELP! I need inspiration. My wedding will not be until 2010 but I need to feel good now. I'm going to Puerto Vallarta in October and I'd like to look half way decent in a bathing suit.

I do (did) WW at work. I don't think I'm signing up for the next round. Not that I disliked it- I just got REALLY bored at the classes and didn't find them too informative. I must have googled too much or read all the tips on here. LOL

As for motivation- I know what you mean. However, WW is a lifestyle change. If you make the commitment to change, hopefully you won't have that yo-yo affect. I've been there too many times too. I'm hoping this time I can make some lasting changes.

Hey LC Rachel. I hope we both do well and have a long lasting change.

I noticed that you got married in PV. That's one of the destinations we're thinking of. I'd love to hear more about your wedding. Did you honeymoon there also? I am visitn PV in October and want to look around but don't want to spend the whole week. Maybe a day or two and see 4 or 5 venues. Any suggetions would be welcome. Thanks, Kathie

my friend did ww at work and gained and lost the same 2 lbs over and over again. both of us have done it outside of work and lost and kept lbs off. we used to go together but it's hard b/c of scheduling conflicts. if i had the choice between doing nothing and going to ww at work, i'd go at work, but i'd prefer to go outside of work.

Well, FI and I were going in January together, outside of work. We both lost (me about 7 lbs and him about 20!). But that fizzled.

Now I'm technically signed up at work,b ut have missed about 2-3 weeks... due to schedule conflicts (meetings, etc.) I'm trying really hard to go from now til September.

I think in a way doing it at work is fun because we have a great leader and then we all have lunch afterwards together and can motivate eachother. Plus, I don't have to get up at 8am on Saturday or go out for the meeting on Monday evening, so it's convenient.

I've already had one of my fellow WW work buddies yell "Don't do it!" when I reached for a piece of cake in the kitchen at work. It cracked me up. It's nice to see others be successful. Maybe that's what you need for motivation?

I'm having a really hard time the past 2 months. Completely off the wagon and feeling disgusting. I feel your pain sad.gif

I was married at Las Caletas in PV. We have a whole thread dedicated to it. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t1775 Or you can even go to Destination Wedding Planner for Puerto Vallarta Beach Weddings

Also, to view my wedding pics, I have a link in my siggy. Just click on it.

We did honeymoon in PV. We stayed at the Barcelo for 2 weeks. It was such a nice break! I wish I could do it all over again. Good luck on your site visit!

I just attended my first WW at work meeting in 3 weeks. Luckily, I'm the same weight I was last time, which as the leader said is a "good" result. ("Great" is when you lose)...

Anyway, I wanted to pass along some info I gained from the session:

We talked all about motivation - especially lack of it and how to get it back.

I think I discovered that a huge part of my problem is that I don't have a clear goal.
So my 'homework' for this week is to come up with a very clearly defined goal. I have to write it down.

It has to
- be in positive language (I'd like to fit into a size __, rather than "I don't want to keep being a size ___")
- have a clear time frame ("in 8 weeks...", etc.)
- clearly outline how I will get to this goal (by attending WW meetings, by being careful about desserts, by getting more active

So. That's what I'm up to this week.

Just thought it might help you out.

Andrea :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
