So, do I go by maiden name until I change it??
Well, I think officially you should keep ur maiden name (on all accounts & work & stuff) untill you start your name change process. But I think unofficially you could start introducing yourself as Mrs..... I think it makes hubbies feel better IMO

If your going to add him I would suggest you do it ASAP or you are probably going to have to wait until your companies open enrollment date.
Yep you are exactly right. I got everything in Monday...exactly 30 days from the day we got married..

But I am kinda pissed about how they are gonna charge me back to June 14th since that's when we got married...he didn't use the benefits... Ah well. He should be in there though...

Yup, our travel agent (who is freaking awesome!) told us about the 4-8 week wait on your actual certificate. We aren't getting married until next June, but after thinking about having to wait that long until you could start the ball rolling in the US, and after adding up all the costs of the paperwork you have to complete so that you are legally able to get married in the Dem Rep, we just decided it was easier and safer to just get married here at the court house and not tell anyone. We don't want anyone else there except our witness's (which are also getting married down there with us), so that it doesn't mean anything except paperwork.

What?!? I got married 2 weeks before you. I'm going to email Chandlyn today. Thanks for letting us know.

FYI... I just received mine today. I emailed Chandlyn last week asking her if she knew when it would be sent and she said she had it there and just needed to verify my address (not sure why she didn't contact me; also she definitely had my address, but whatever). So I gave it to her and it was sent within a week. It was dated June 17, so I can see that she has had it for over a month. So if you were married in May or June and haven't received yours yet, I suggest contacting Chandlyn.

Wow Lizz, whats up with that.....Well I'm glad u finally have yours, now the fun begins. I changed my name on my SS card & Dr. Lic. I took a 1/2 day off work for it. I use to work for the secretary of state (DMV) so the girls there pulled me to to front and took care of me right away. I'm so glad they did because they were calling # 76 and giving out the next number of 17....I would have been there the rest of the day. Fun stuff!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
